“IhateyouIhateyouIhateyouIhateyou you are so DUMB!” Mitsuba complained as he was now trying to lift up Kou, who almost fell off his own roof in a stupid, dumb, chaotic attempt to be on Mitsuba’s.“I said I was sorry already!” Kou pleaded, as he continued to cling onto Mitsuba for dear life.
“You are so unlucky, I have zero muscles!” Mitsuba scoffed, but continued to try his hardest to pull Kou up onto the roof with him.
Mitsuba wasn’t lying. He seemed genuinely annoyed at the fact that he couldn’t lift Kou up, and he appeared to be putting in maximum effort. Kou lunged himself upward by kicking his feet against the side of the house, and he fell onto Mitsuba’s roof.
...And on top of Mitsuba.
Kou’s eyes widened as his eyes were locked with Mitsuba’s. His magenta-colored eyes shined beautifully under the pale moonlight, and a rosy blush crept up onto both of their faces.
“EEEEEEEEEEEK!” Mitsuba screeched as he (carefully, though he was displeased with the boy he did not want Kou to fall of his roof and break his legs) pushed Kou off of him, and scooted away from the other boy.
“This was your sick plan all along, wasn’t it...? You sick pervert!” Mitsuba sobbed in disgust, “and to think I was going to give you the privilege of being friends with someone as cute as me!”
“I’m, I didn’t mean to- I just—“ Kou sputtered out nonsense. He was trying to defend himself, that no, he wasn’t a sick pervert, and that he doesn’t have any sick lewd fantasies about Mitsuba, but then what Mitsuba truly said clicked.
“Did you say... friends?” Kou brightened, having dismissed he was accused of being a pervert. Mitsuba who had hissed, cursed, and jeered at Kou now looked angelic in Kou’s eyes. Mitsuba was talking nonstop, but Kou couldn’t hear a word Mitsuba was saying. All he could focus on was the shining light surrounding Mitsuba and the halo above his head; oh, the utter saint he was.
“Hey stupid, what’s with that look on your face? Are you even listening to me?” Mitsuba snapped Kou out of his trance; Kou needed to calm down. Mitsuba was a person. A person who also happened to be his friend.
“Um... no?” Kou admitted, looking embarrassed.
“I’m getting second hand embarrassment just looking at you.” Mitsuba snickered, but there was a smile on his face. Kou smiled back too, and he greatly admired the smile on Mitsuba’s face, as it might’ve been one of the more genuine smiles he has seen from the other boy.
“Uhm, sorry... I was just, y’know, thinking...” Kou rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, and he was now sitting cross legged as he averted his eyes from Mitsuba.
“Abooooooooooouuuuut?” Mitsuba blinked, and he looked bored as hugged his knees.
“Uh, well...” Kou begins, and he knows exactly what he was thinking about: Mitsuba. He had been just now, but had also been pondering about the boy for the past two days. Mitsuba was like an infection that refused to go untreated in his brain, and yet... Kou didn’t really mind that Mitsuba had took over his thoughts.
