Chapter 17

Meeting

After we ate, nilinis na ni Debby at Cloud ang pinagkainan namin at bumalik na sa table nila sa labas ng opisina ni Nathan.

The twins are sitting in the living room, watching Netflix. I made sure that the film that they are watching is appropriate for their age.

I went beside Nathan. He looked up to me and smiled, he gently pulled me and made me sit on his lap. His both hands are on the both side of my waist while he continued to type on his iMac.

"Your pile of paper works are..." I sighed as I look at his veiny hands. "I'm sorry, baby."

I felt his chest from my back vibrated, he chuckled silently

"Why is my baby sorry, hmm?"

"Kasi kung di ako nag-leave muna sa Red Clover edi sana hindi mapupunta sayo yung mga paper works na dapat ako ang gumagawa."

He placed his chin on my shoulder reached for my jaw, giving it a butterfly kisses.

"It's fine, baby. Ayoko rin namang ma-stress ka, that'll be bad for our baby princess."

I frowned at what he said. I tried my best to look at him and when he saw me struggling for wanting to look at him, tinulungan niya ako sa pwesto ko. Now, I'm sitting on his lap sideward.

"Baby princess? How sure are you that it's a girl?"

He shrugged and kissed my cheeks, "I just know. Father instinct, I guess."

I rolled my eyes on him.

"Why? Don't you want another mini me of you?" He asked when he saw my expression.

"Gusto ko ng lalaki. Para may baby Phoenix ako ulit."

He stared at me. I saw an emotion passed on his eyes that I couldn't name.

"I heard my name, mommy, why?"

Napatingin naman ako kay Phoenix ng magsalita ito. I laughed when I remembered that Scarlet also said that exact question when she heard her name.

"Of course, you heard your name, baby Phoenix. You have ears." Mimicking his answer to Scarlet.

And just like Scarlet, napikon rin ito.  Nanahimik at piniling manood na lang. His brows are almost meeting each other and it made me laugh even more.

Kung wala lang puntod ang anak ko, iisipin ko talaga na anak ko si Phoenix.

"Ayan, naasar tuloy." Nathan whispered in my ears.

I giggled, "Bibigyan ko lang ng maalat na pagkain yan okay na ulit kami."

"Oh, you know his weakness, huh?"

I nodded and giggled even more.

"Nathan, can you try to flirt with a girl." I asked.

I know it's crazy for me to ask him that, but I just wanna know what his response will be. Di naman ako magagalit kung sasabihin niyang oo...

"Okay."

My eyes widened at his answer. "What?!"

"I said, okay." he said cooly.

Napakurap kurap ako habang nakatingin sakanya. I mean, yes, I said na di ako magagalit kahit oo pa ang sagot niya, but I can't help but to be disappointed. Like—ugh!

I felt Nathan's nose in my neck. Nakikiliti naman na umiwas ako sakanya. Pero makulit ang isang to at hinabol pa ang leeg ko at binigyan ng magagaang halik.
