Recovery

"Kunan niyo na ako ng dugo."

Nanlalaki ang mata nilang tumingin saakin. I just looked at them coldly and did my exit. Before I go out, I heard Cash, Liyah and Storm whispering.

"Di siya nagwala? Weh?" Liyah said.

"She's a matured bitch na! OMG! I'm soooo proud. Huhu." Cash said.

"Good luck sating lahat." Storm said.

They were expecting me to go ballistic, huh? I shook my head in disappointment. Disappointed with them and myself. They all knew and they hid it from me. My own son. They hide my precious child! And I'm disappointed with myself because... now that I know, I just realized that they were all so obvious.

Masaya ba akong pagmukhaing tanga?

Bakit kung kelan akala ko masaya na lahat lahat. Wala ng problema... Dun naman mag-kakagulo gulo.

This feels like what happened when I was 19. We were happy. Nathan proposed to me then I caught him kissing or being kissed by Livvy. I lost my child who's fortunately, alive. And now... I laughed dryly.

"Crimson." I felt a hand hold my arm.

Nilingon ko ito at nakitang si Nathan. I grabbed my arm away from him and walked faster. I don't want to hear any explanation from him right now.

"Crimson, please, talk to me."

He was just chasing me, but I didn't even gave him a glance. Di ko alam kung pano pakikitunguhan ang mga tao sa paligid ko ngayon. 9 years! Siyam na taon ng nagsisinungaling ang mga tao sa paligid ko!

At mga taong pinag-kakatiwalaan ko pa...

Pagdating sa nurse station ay sinabi ko na ang pakay ko. They immediately instructed me on what should I do. Kinunan muna nila ako ng onting dugo at tinanong ng ilang mga tanong. They have to make sure that I am safe to be a blood donor.

"Baby, let me explain, please." Nathan's voice was almost begging.

Matapang at kalmado ko siyang tinignan, hindi pinapahalata na sa loob loob ko ay gusto ko ng mag-wala.

Pagkatapos nila akong kuhanan ng dugo ay medyo nahihilo pa ako. Nathan gave me a bottle of water which I took. They made me sit on a wheel chair and made our way to Phoenix's hospital room. Pagdating naming roon ay lahat ng kaibigan naming ay naroon.

I looked at Athena's eyes and she avoided my gaze like she's guilty. I scoffed, even her... Well, of course, ano bang di niya alam.

Days past and Phoenix's situation started to became better. Wala akong kinakausap sa kanilang lahat. Ang mga anak ko at si Laevich lang. Laevich does not have anything to do with the situation.

"Will you buy me donuts now, mommy?" Phoenix asked cheerfully.

Simula ng malaman ko na ang totoo, everytime he calls me mommy, there's this ball of happiness in my chest always. Nakangiting tumango naman ako rito.
