Patton (3rd p.o.v.)
"Are ya sure you want me to go?" Janus asked as he looked at Logan. Patton and Janus had carried Logan inside and set him down in the guest bedroom. He had a high fever and was shivering even while he slept.
"Yeah, I'll be fine, don't worry!" Patton said and smiled. Janus sighed and rolled his eyes. He stood and walked over to Patton, patting him on the shoulder.
"You're too generous for your own good, ya know."
Patton smiled wide, taking what Janus had said as a compliment. The snake man sighed and rolled his eyes. He couldn't help but smile at his friend's cheery personality. He looked at Logan and sighed again, this time his smile left his face.
"I told him that he was overworkin' himself. Ya know, he used to give me lectures on how less sleep weakens your immune system or some shit. The dumbass should've taken his own advice for once."
Patton winced slightly at the bad words, but nodded. He never liked the use of foul language. Janus took his keys out of his pocket and headed towards the door.
"I'm headin' out, sunshine. If he causes any problems, I'm only a phone call away."
"Alrighty! Bye, Jan!"
"Cya, sugar." He smirked and walked out the door. The faint sound of his truck starting could be heard from inside. Patton looked out the window and watched as Janus pulled out and drove away. He then turned around to face the sleeping figure curled up under the covers.
Logan groaned and slowly shifted positions, so that he was laying on his side instead of his back. Patton held his breath, expecting him to wake up, but Logan just sighed quietly and continued to sleep. He seemed peaceful despite his shivering. Even under the blankets he was still freezing.
Patton ran to his bedroom and got a few spare blankets he had at the foot of his bed. He carefully draped them over the sleeping nerd. When he saw that Logan was still shaking, he ran to the bathroom and got a cool wash cloth.
He walked back into the room and stopped. Gently, Patton tapped Logan's shoulder. He flinched away and his face became fearful even as he slept. He turned onto his back once again. Slowly, the fear left his face and he was peaceful once more. Patton began to wonder what could make Logan so afraid of such a tiny tap on the shoulder.
Nevertheless, Patton folded the washcloth and placed it on Logan's forehead to try and bring his fever down. The towel must've been too cold, because Logan's eyes flung open and he sat up quickly. He looked around to scan his surroundings. When his gaze finally landed on Patton, he didn't say anything. He just stared at him.
"Uhh..hey there." Patton said and smiled, trying not to be too awkward. Logan didn't say anything, he just kept staring at him. Patton thought that he'd stop staring by now, but his dark grey eyes were fixed on him.
Logan finally looked away, but his gaze was distant, as if he wasn't really looking at anything. He began to sway a bit and his eyelids fluttered. He fell right back onto his pillow. Patton ran over to his side.
"Are you ok, Logan?"
In response to hearing his name, Logan opened his eyes halfway to look at Patton. "Mm." Was all he managed to say. Patton chuckled softly and smiled.
"Alright, I'll let you sleep." Patton said and stood up to walk to the door. He didn't get very far before he felt a tug on his arm. He turned around to see Logan holding his hand, barely able to keep his eyes open. Before Patton could say anything, Logan was asleep again. He was still holding onto Patton's hand.
