Logan's p.o.v.

I woke up again later feeling much more refreshed. I looked around the room and my eyes landed on the alarm clock on the bedside table. The time read 10:30 p.m. My eyes widened. I don't remember the last time I slept that long. Even when I lived at home I didn't get much sleep.

The thought of Roman entered my mind. I shot up from my bed and opened the door, running down the hall. I was asleep all day and he might've been left at school. If he was left at school then the teacher's would've called home. If they called home, they'd be calling my father. So by that logic, Roman could be back home for all I know.

I fought back tears just thinking about it. I opened every unfamiliar door. I found the bathroom first. I moved onto the next door and peeked inside. The walls were purple and every other piece of furniture was dark brown wood. There was a child in the bed, but even in the darkness I knew it wasn't Roman. I quietly shut the door behind myself and moved down the hall. I opened another door and entered an empty bedroom. There were tan walls and birch furniture inside. The royal blue blankets on the king sized bed were neatly folded and there was no one sleeping there.

I was about to open another door, but it opened first. I saw the top of Patton's head. I looked down at met his eyes. He smiled at me, but his face quickly turned to worry when he saw me. He put a hand on my arm, but I flinched away and folded my arms.

"Logan, what's wrong?" he asked softly.

"I-I can't find Roman. He got left at the school and is probably back home with my father and he may be dead and.." I stopped to breathe. Patton looked heartbroken, and I quickly looked away. "Why didn't I wake up? Why didn't you wake me up?" I raised my voice at him, getting angry. He looked surprised and backed up a bit. Damn it, I really am my father's son.

"Shh, Logan. He's at the other end of the hall. I'll show you." He said. He took my hand and walked out of his room, leading me to a door at the very end of the other side of the hall. He quietly opened the door. I looked inside. The walls were a cream color and the bed had a metal bed-frame that was painted gold. There was dark red blankets on the bed and the floor was a fuzzy brown carpet. There were fairy tale posters all over the wall, and in one corner there was a castle with dolls around it. I felt my mouth drop. This room was perfect for him.

"You should've seen his face. He loved it." Patton smiled.

"How did you...it's so.." I couldn't seem to form the words. I really was speechless.

"It was nothing. I found out yesterday that you'd be staying here for a bit, and I wanted to make Roman comfy. I would've fixed your room too, but I didn't know what you liked..sorry." He smiled sadly. I shook my head.

"No, it's alright. As long as Roman is happy, that's all I need. I've never needed a fancy room."

I wanted to go climb in bed and sleep beside him like we usually would. Coming home from work in the apartment and sleeping was the best part of my day. I'm usually a light sleeper, and Roman sleeping soundly beside me puts me at ease. That way I know he's safe.

However, he's probably had a long day and I figured I'd let him enjoy his large new bed for himself. I shut the door slowly with a soft click. I sighed and looked at Patton, who was looking at me. Without saying anything, I walked to the stairs and made my way down to the kitchen. I heard Patton's light footsteps behind me, so I knew he was following. I looked through all the cupboards trying to find a cup. Patton opened the right one and took out two, handing me one.

I walked over to the sink and poured myself some water. Patton did the same, and I figured I'd explore some more. I slid open the back door and walked out onto the patio. There was a couch and chairs, along with a fire-pit and a table. Off to the side was a large pool and a hot-tub too. I had never seen all of this in one house before. I was quite amazed.
