Nash and I both drove back to his apartment, when we got to the door he stopped.
“You sure you feeling up to this?” He tested, wanting to make sure I was feeling 100%. I slung my bag over my shoulder, smiling up at Nash.
“Yeah. Honestly all I wanna do is forget about the shit that’s happening.” I admitted. He nodded and opened the door, the sound of laughter instantly hitting my eardrums.
“Cam?” Nash called, his voice echoing off the walls. The apartment was beautiful, the colors the perfect mixture of dark and light. Christmas lights tied and draped all around giving the place a magical feeling. My thoughts were interrupted by a handsome boy running down the stairs and literally jumping onto Nash.
“You’re home!” He practically screamed. I cringed at the sudden noise. He saw me over Nash’s shoulder and quickly gained composure. “Oh hi!” He chirped happily.
“Hi.” I shyly hid behind Nash. Nash stepped to the side, allowing Cameron and I to be face to face.
“I’m Cameron, Nash’s roommate.” He introduced himself, sticking out his hand for a handshake. I took his hand and gently shook it, his grip suffocating mine.
“I’m Conor, Nash’s friend.” I awkwardly laughed. Cameron smiled.
“Wait you’re Conor?! Nash talks about you all the time!” Cameron remembered, smirking at Nash who was now wildly blushing.
“Oh does he?” I noted, trying to sound snark.
“Hey Conor, do you wanna meet the rest of they boys?” Nash interjected before anything else could be said.
“Oh uh sure, who else is here?” I asked. Nash looked to Cameron for an answer.
“Jack, Jack, and Matt.” He told us. Nash nodded.
“So only three other guys. If you don’t want to you don’t have to. I’ll stay with you.” He offered.
“No it’s okay. Can I just put my stuff somewhere?” I asked Nash. Nash quickly grabbed my bag from my hands.
“Yeah I gotchya! Follow me!” He urged, walking forward.
“Meet you up there?” Cameron laughed.
“Sure.” Nash answered, disappearing into a doorway leaving me alone by the door. Well shit. I slowly crept towards where Nash went. He suddenly popped out of the room, causing me to yelp.
“Shit Nash!” I practically screamed. He giggled, walking over to me.
“Sorry Conor. I didn’t think you’d be creeping around my apartment.” He teased.
“I wasn’t creeping, I was trying to find out where the hell you went!” I defended myself, allowing a laugh to slip from my throat. Nash giggled.
“Alright you wanna go up?” He asked, offering his hand. I happily took it.
“Yeah.” I assured him, squeezing his hand.
Together we walked up the stairs, the sound of music and laughing teenage boys got louder and louder. However once we turned the corner, the chatter stopped.
