Six months. It’s been six months since the plug was pulled. I shook my head as I lay on my back, my eyes scanning the ceiling. Two months ago I was this sad, pathetic abused girl. And now, now I’ve changed. I looked over to my left, Nash slept next to me. Him. He changed me. He doesn’t even know it, but he’s changed me…for the better. I smiled as he rolled over and wrapped his arm around me. I looked back at the ceiling, the eggshell color taunting me. So many things are different. I sighed as my phone buzzed with a notification. It was a text from Joshua.
Joshie: Wanna come up this weekend? I miss my little sister!! :D
I smiled. I’ve been visiting Chicago every month for a weekend to see Joshua. I typed enthusiastically.
Me: Of course! I’ll check what’s going on, then get back to you! Can’t wait to see you. :D
I placed my phone back on the counter, my smile soon leaving my face as I settled back into my thoughts.
“Babe?” Nash whispered after a few seconds.
“Yeah?” I looked down, his head was buried in my stomach.
“Nothing, just wanted to know you’re awake.” He smiled, his blue eyes staring up at me.
“I love you.” I blurted, similarly to when I first said it.
“I love you too.” He kissed my stomach, sending flutters through my body. How did I ever get so lucky? He suddenly sat up. “We need to talk about this whole ‘new tour’ thing.” He confessed.
“Nash, I already told you what I think. I support everything you do. This is good for you, good for your career. Go for it! You haven’t toured with the boys since Magcon, I know you miss it. I’ll visit you I swear!” I reminded him. He’s getting an offer to go on another tour similar to Magcon, which he had done a while ago, with all the boys. I honestly support him and want him to pursue this, he deserves to be happy with his friends.
“Are you sure?” He asked, somewhat uncomfortable with my answer.
“Yes I’m sure! I love you, I’ll visit, okay? Okay. So you’re going to call your father right now and tell him you’re doing this.” I commanded.
“Yes sir” Nash laughed and walked out of the room to call his dad. I lay there, staring at the ceiling with a big goofy grin on my face. My phone suddenly started to impatiently buzz. I grabbed it and answered quickly.
“Hello?” I cheered, my happiness radiating off of every syllable.
“Hey Conor!” The other lined chimed it.
“Hey Mia! What’s up?” I sat up so i could hear the other line better. Mia and I had become very close friends since my dad was unplugged and i quit my job. She was my only friend that i didn’t meet through Nash, and probably one of my closest girl friends.
“Do you wanna maybe hangout today? I’m off work, and i miss hanging out!” She almost begged.
“Yeah! Should Nash come or should i kick him out of our clique?” I laughed.
“He can come! As long as he brings a cute friend.” She joked. Mia had a huge crush on Matt.
“And by ‘cute friend’ you mean Matthew Espinosa?” I teased. I could practically see her blushing in my head.
