I woke up the next morning wrapped in Nash’s arms, my back facing his chest. my mind replayed the events of last night over and over. He kissed me, I kissed him. He loves me, I love him. I smiled, rolling over to face him. He was still sleeping soundly, a slight snore escaping through his mouth every few seconds. I giggled, causing him so stir.
“Conor..” He moaned, squeezing his eyes shut even more.
“I’m sorry did I wake you?” I asked him, still smiling. He groggily sat up, leaving on his elbows for support.
“Yeah, but I’m glad it’s you waking me up and not Cameron.” He joked, stroking my face with his cheek.
“Speaking of Cameron...” I began, “do we tell him we’re like, together? I mean, are we together?” I seriously asked Nash. He laughed loudly, throwing his head back on the pillow of his bed. “I’m serious!” I yelled, punching his arm.
“Of course we are Conor!” Nash pulled me to him so my head was on his chest. “We can tell Cam once he’s awake.” He assured me, drawing little circles on the back of my head.
“Alright.” I smiled, listening to Nash’s heartbeat lull me back to sleep.
A few hours later, I was woken up by Nash.
“Babe, you’re phone has been ringing non-stop. I think it’s your brother.” He shook my arm lightly. I groaned and rolled over.
“Answer it please.” I requested. Nash took my ringing phone into his hand and answered.
“Hello?” He spoke. “Uh no this is Nash on Conors phone, she told me to just answer it for her.” He nervously grumbled. “Uh-ok. Yeah. She’s been sleeping a lot yep. I will tell her. See you soon.” He hung up.
“What’d he say?” I sighed, rolling back over to meet Nash’s eyes with my own.
“We have to go to the hospital, they have to talk to you.” He quietly informed me. I moaned and rolled out of the warm bed. I walked over to my bag that I had placed on the ground last night and pulled out some leggings.
“Shit I forgot a clean shirt!” I grumbled angrily to myself. Nash laughed and walked over to me from behind. His hands snaked down my sides and pulled my closer to him by my waist. His lips kissed my neck.
“Good thing I have a closet full of shirts.” He whispered onto my skin, sending shivers and shocks down my spine. I turned around to face him, the space between us still virtually gone. Slowly yet sweetly, I kissed his lips. The same sparks I felt last night rushed through my body, leaving my heart beating faster and my breath taken away. I pulled away, staring into Nash’s eyes.
“I love you.” I confessed, blushing as he smiled that beautiful smile of his.
“I love you more.” He smiled, kissing my forehead and walking over to his closet. He pulled out a grey sweatshirt and threw it in my direction. “This one’s my favorite, wear it!” He chirped. I gracefully took it from him.
“Can I take a shower?” I asked, realizing how dirty I felt.
“Yeah sure. Need any company in there?” Nash suggested smirking. My face got hotter and I started to giggle.
“What if Cameron finds out?” I ask. He sighed,
“True, we want him to find out by our words, not our naked bodies.” He laughed, opening the door and pointing to the bathroom. “Bathroom’s over there.” He gestured. “Have fun.” He smiled, slapping my butt as I walked out the door.
