3rd persons pov.
It was a usual day in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The sun was out, everyone was doing what they did best in their daily lives. Socs drove in their tuff cars showing them off. Greasers walked around town messing with people having fun, especially the Curtis gang.
The Curtis gang is a group of boys, 7 to be exact. They never really came up with a name for their gang so they just simply called it the Curtis gang due to the leader.
Darrel Curtis jr. he was a fine man, worked hard everyday roofing houses. A lot of muscle, gray blue eyes, light brown hair slicked back. He was kind but strict at times to his younger siblings. He was the man of the house, the boss you can say. Quite tuff. Darry might seem like a much older man but he's only 20, pretty young for a boy working his ass off everyday roofing houses, and real mature for his age.
On the other hand, his younger brother Sodapop Curtis was a much charming, not that mature boy. He had golden brown hair, ocean blue eyes, and the smile of a movie star. He worked as well, but he works at the DX gas station. Girls pass by a lot just to spend some time with the charming boy, that made their venerable little hearts melt. Sodapop is 16 almost 17, he dropped out of school to help his older brother with the bills, but he claims it's because he wasn't smart enough for school, or that it wasn't for him. He's kind hearted, loves and cares for everyone, that's why girls love him so much. He also has a unique name, soda-pop. Like the drink. Well his parents were very original people.
Leading me up to Ponyboy Curtis, the youngest and last Curtis. Ponyboy is a 14 year old boy in sophomore year. He has dark red brown hair, that's always perfectly greased, green eyes that he doesn't like as much but are beautiful. He has a good build for a 14 year old boy, he's also smart. He skipped a year due to how smart he was. He turned everything in on time, studied, never got into real trouble, well Darry never lets him, he's strict with Ponyboy; never lets him stay out, party, do anything that can get him into trouble. They have arguments at times and don't get along all the time. Sodapop on the other hand is his favorite brother, soda laughed with him, plays games, listens to Ponyboy. He's on the track team, making him run pretty fast. Ponyboy is nothing like his older brothers. He likes reading, watching movies, drawing. For a greaser that is rare, but he's a sensitive boy who tries acting real tuff, he pulls it off don't get me wrong, Sometimes scares people away, not really but he's quite good at getting ready for a fight.
The Curtis brothers have always been close but once there parents died in a auto wreck they became closer. They didn't want to lose each other, they are brothers and they don't want to go through another traumatic loss. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis we're lovely people, they cared so much about their children, and cared for the other boys like if they were their children as well. They were all one big family, might not been biologically related but they were family, and still are.
Another member of the Curtis gang is, Steve Randle. He is Sodapop's best friend, they met in grade school and just stayed friends due to all the things they have in common. Steve loves cars, he adores them, he treats cars like if they were his new born children. Steve has her black hair with dark brown eyes. He works at the DX Station with Sodapop, but he doesn't work full time like Soda does, cause Steve actually goes to school to graduate, but he works half day to enjoy fixing car and making them look nicer then they already are.
Two-bit Matthew's. He changed his name, it was never two-bit, people just started calling him that, his real name is Keith but he hated that name, made him sound professional, when he really isn't. Two-bit is the class clown in the gang, he always cracks jokes, makes someone smile when they're at their lowest. Two has a dirty blonde hair and gray eyes, always wears a Mickey Mouse shirt. He's obsessed with Mickey Mouse, it's like he lives and breathes it. He watches the cartoon, every morning, every afternoon, and every evening. He's like a 5 year old in a mans body. Two-bit is 19 the second oldest of the gang, he's also still a junior in high school. He hasn't passed, but he likes high school, not the work of course but the people, he likes pulling pranks on teachers and on students, messes around a lot with them, sometimes he ditched school and doesn't go. He also has a bad habit of drinking beer. He drinks so much beer that it doesn't even get him drunk anymore, he immune to it. Two, is also a good fighter in a fight, he always knows how to protect him self, in town most people know him as the boy who carries a 7 inch blade, others know him as the class clown who loves Mickey Mouse.
Johnny Cade is the baby of the gang, he very quite and sweet. He has tan skin, black hair that he greases so much that it falls down like bangs. He has black eyes, looks like puppy eyes. If you grab a puppy and kick it a few times, you have Johnny. He gets beat at his house, badly. All his parents do is go to work, drink, yell, and fight. He usually goes to the abandoned lot to sleep or the Curtis house. Johnny is jumpy, gets scared easily, can't hurt anybody, not even a fly. The gang tries to protect him at all cost, he looks really young too but he's 16, Ponyboy looks like he's 16 as well and Johnny looks like he's 14, but no Johnny is 16. He looks up to the JD hood in town, wants to be like him.
Which lastly brings me to Dallas Winston. I know you maybe thinking, he's not that bad. Well you see, Dallas Winston comes from the streets of Bronx, New York. He's cold, doesn't care, beats anyone up if they cross him, he treats everyone terribly. Sleeps with girls, leaves them the next morning. He treats girls like as if they are just another one night stand, but girls they keep running after him. Dallas has brown hair, never greases it making it look fluffy and soft, he has high cheek bones, and hazel eyes. He's cocky, thinks big about himself, he's rude, drinks, smokes all the time, he's a heart breaker, a fuck boy. He doesn't care about anyone except himself. He moved to Tulsa when he was 14, his dead beat dad never cared about him, treated him like a human punching bag, he verbally, mentally, and physically abused him. His mother left when he was 7, his younger brother left with his mother. He hated his life, still does. He thinks of the world as pure darkness, as if there is nothing good in the world. He hasn't cried in years and hasn't cracked a smile since the Curtis parents died. Mrs. Curtis always and whim smile, but only she would, no one else. She gave him love and affection cause his parents never did, he was in a dark place still is but Mrs. Curtis always tried to make him feel wanted. He has walls around him, he never ever shared his feelings with anyone, maybe not even himself. This all lead up to Dally taking a bad path in life, he robbed, hurt, broke, killed people, at the police station he probably as a file as big as 2 textbooks combined for all his crimes. He's not the person to mess with, he has a bad temper gets mad easily, everyone fears him.
That's the gang, the 7 boys, that stick together through everything. Through thick and thin. Our story begins with them.
