7 Months later

Life doesn't give you trigger warnings. There's no one there to tell you that beaches will have boats zooming past and the sound will make you flinch. No one's going to warn you before you walk through a neighbourhood that smells of bad habits and no ones going to tell you that in a chapter in your book the main character wants to die. All these things will make you remember and they'll break you down, but that's life.

Harrys learned a lot about life these past 7 months. He finished his grade 12 year and is currently starting his first semester at college. He attends weekly meetings and while he drinks on rare occasions, his other habits are something of his past. He lives a healthy life and when he feels the need to dive back in to the wonderful world of popping pills and inhaling smoke he goes for a run or sometimes he just cuddles closer to Louis.

Louis' sworn off drinking and partying. The boy smokes cigarettes or a joint when he's stressed, but it's better than smoking off of a crack pipe. He quit his job at the bar and helps out at a local daycare. The children love him and Harry loves seeing how happy the job makes Louis. Louis' back to going to school full time, his marks the highest he's ever gotten.

The two boys adopted a French bull dog and named her Frenchy - Louis had to name her after the Grease character after all. The dog is their little baby and she may or may not be fat from all the treats she gets.

In the past seven months the hardest part for Harry was the first anniversary of Gemma's death. He was still in early recovery - 2 months out of rehab - when the date passed. He remembers how Louis had to hold him so tight to keep him together and how Harry had went and placed more flowers over her grave.

It's now November, almost a year since everything truly started to fall apart. Harry can say he still has his friends and his relationship with his mother is in repair. Robin's no longer in the picture and Anne is happier in Harrys opinion. She seems to smile brighter and Harry is just really glad to see that.

It's a Sunday morning today and he can hear the sound of pots being moved around in the kitchen and the sound of Louis singing to the radio. He smiles at the noise, knowing the boy he's completely in love with is making it. He stretches and then pulls his blanket off, climbing out of the warm bed and into the cold air. He's only wearing his boxers and shrugs as he walks into the kitchen. Louis turns to see him and smiles his sunshine smile.

"Cold?" He laughs as he pinches Harrys nipple. Harry shouts and slaps his hand which makes Louis throw his head back in laughter. Harry just scrunches his nose and goes to the cabinet to get a mug.

"You're such an ass in the morning," Harry grumbles. He fills his mug with coffee and adds some cream snd sugar. He can feel Louis' arms wrap around him and his lips press to his bare shoulder.

"Don't be cranky, love. I made you waffles," Louis tells him. Harry turns in his arm and raises his brow.

"Do we have strawberries?" He questions and Louis nods. "Whipped cream?" Another nod. "What about bananas?"

"I bought all the fruit yesterday while you were with Niall," Louis tells him. Harry smiles as he leans down to peck his lips.

"You're the best," Harry tells him fondly.

"I know," Louis grins, slapping his butt before letting him go and leaving the room. "Your food is on the table!" He calls.

Harry follows him out of the kitchen and to their dinning room table. There's fruit spread out everywhere and waffles stacked on a plate. Harrys mouth is watering as he looks at it all and his stomach rumbles.

The two boys start eating and Harry thanks Louis for doing this for him. Louis just smiles, but Harry can tell there's something behind it. He doesn't think too hard about it because he's shoving food in his mouth.
