i watched sadie's small smile turning into a frown. she looked at the guy infront of her and then at me.

i then saw her making her way to me and sean smirking after her.

"mattia" she said, making me snap out off my thoughts.

"yea, what's wrong?" i asked, but without answering she softly grabbed my arm and pulled me with her out off the  ballroom.

"we need to go now" she said looking me straight into my eyes.

"what's wrong sadie?" i asked sounding concerned, not that i'm actually concerned or something.

"i told you about my dad, you remember the whole he ran away story?" she asked, looking more and more paranoid.

"yes, of course i do. you took me to this garden place" i remembered and she nodded, while looking every second from my eyes to the door behind me.

"look sean, my ex, that guy, he found my dad or something" she said and i nodded slowly

"what is so bad about this, and why are you shaking. gosh sadie calm down" i sighed taking her hand.

she looked at our hands for a second, and then slowly breathed out and looked back at me.

"he knows about your uncle" she spoke, closing her eyes as if she's scared i'm gonna freak out.

i closed my eyes too, trying to calm down, the grip of my hand holding hers wasn't that tight anymore, but i didn't let her hand fall.

"okay" i sighed and opened my eyes.

the second after i said that she opened her eyes too and looked apologetic at me.

"he won't say anything, but he wants me to see my dad" sadie spoke and i furrowed my eyebrows.

"why is that a bad thing?" i asked and she looked at the door, but the door was still closed.

"do you really think he won't say anything about the fact i'm involved with a murder case and just wants me to meet my dad i haven't seen for years, without something bad happening there?" she asked, speaking way too fast.

"you think your dad is gonna do something?" i asked and she sighed

"i don't know him it was years since the last time i saw him. i don't know what he's capable of doing" she spoke and i nodded

"i'm sorry sades, if i never pulled you inside of every-"

"it's fine" she cut me off and smiled at me softly.

"promise me one thing" i spoke and she looked up from her black dress to look at me.

"don't change" i said and she smiled softly

before answering she came nearer to me and put her hands around me.

i was never a person that liked to be hugged, or liked any kind of human interaction, but i really needed this.

i hugged her back and she looked up at me and almost whispered "promise"

without even noticing our faces were close to each other, sharing the same breath.

she looked from my lips to my eyes as i did the same thing. i put my hands on her waist and holding eye contact.

"sadie" i heard sean's annoying voice and i heard sadie sigh at the loss of contact when i moved next to her.

"what do you want?" she asked sassily annoyed and sean just chuckled.

"tomorrow 9pm, be there or i swear things are gonna end badly" he spoke disgustingly and i seriously ask myself how sadie could've ever dated him.

she didn't even nod or say something, she looked at me, took my hand and walked away.

she looked at me and without saying something i already knew what she meant.
