With happiness comes sorrow and with sorrow comes pain.
Pain is a feeling related to the psychological state of a person and that psychological pain acts as an obstruction in achieving our purpose of life.
We all get hurt in our lives, there is no person who hasn't got hurt in their lives, the problem lies in what comes after we have been hurt, the pain. It hurts even more thinking about that incident and that is pain, even if we have been hurt physically the pain is what we feel in our mind. Even when the wound heals up we still have memories from that incident and if we try doing that thing again our body will automatically stop moving and we'll think about how painful it was to get the wound the first time.
That was about a physical wound, but what if the wound is psychological? What if one gets hurts mentally? The cases of that are even worse.
For example, if a person gets hurt by the love of their life really bad, will they be able to love again? The answer is most probably "No", why will one ever want to go through that process again? Why would they ever show their vulnerable side to someone again?
Pain affects our purpose the same way, we have to give it our all to achieve our purpose but just like every path there will be obstructions in your way, the path of pointed nails and we are sure to get hurt on our way to our destination but sometimes we just can't bear the pain and it actually affects us mentally and whenever we think of taking that path again our body will freeze and our mind will remind us how it felt to be hurt.
People have lost their sense of purpose because of pain. Pain is something that will actually change your destiny if you let it gain control over you, the constant fear of getting hurt will stop you from taking risks, it will stop you from being you.
Here is the thing, life is like a bed full of roses, there are going to be good moments which will fill you with happiness just like the beautiful petals and there are going to moments which will hurt you and will be painful just like the thorns.
You have to accept it as whole and when you do, you'll be left with scars.
Your scars are the proof of your victory over pain.
