Chapter 5
So now here I am in front of a fancy restaurant where my long lost father, who was a business tycoon and one of the most powerful man in the world, is going to meet me. Oh, and it's such a joy because saying that I am underdressed would be the understatement of the year with my skinny jeans, tight shirt, leather jacket and sneakers compared to the people wearing tux and cocktail dresses.
I went inside and was stopped by a blond girl wearing a formal outfit, I think she's the receptionist or whatever fancy people call her. She gave me a once over with a distasteful look on her face.
"What can I do for you Mam?" She asks repugnantly.
"I'm meeting with Gordon Armstrong." I say.
"I'm sure you are." She snickered. "I think you need to leave Mam. This place is not for the likes of you." Wow. What a bitch.
"Likes of her? What kind of people are the likes of her?" I turn to see my father standing behind me with an unreadable expression.
"Oh Mr. Armstrong. Poor people like her. I was trying to get rid of this girl. She was saying that you would be meeting her. I think she's one of your stalkers." The woman said and gave me another once-over with a disgusted look on her face.
"You're fired. Look at my daughter like that again and I'll make sure you'll be eating dirt till you die." The girl's eyes widen in fear and she look at me for help, I shrugged and started walking inside with my father in tow. I turn to look at him.
"Where are we sitting?" I ask looking around as people stop doing what they were doing to stare at us.
"Follow me." My father said softly. We started walking again but someone blocked my path making me bump into that person. Seconds later my father's guards were surrounding us and were holding the beautiful brown haired boy down. Oh god this is so embarrassing everyone's attention was now zeroed on us.
"You guys, he didn't do anything. You can release him." I panicky said but they didn't release him. I turned to my father and pleaded with my eyes. After a second he gave a reluctant nod and the guards released the boy.
The boy took a step towards me and the guards took a step towards him. He raised his hands defensively, "I won't do anything. I just want a picture and a signature from Skyler." He cried. So he was a fan.
I walk to him. "Hi. What's your name?" I ask while he just stared at me with his mouth gaping open. "Helloo? Are you still there?"
"Um, I'm Dylan. Holy shit you're beautiful. I'm a big fan of yours." He stared in awe.
"Well Dylan do you have a pen and paper to write on?" I ask.
"Oh, um, yeah, here." I signed and took a picture with him. "Thanks." He said and I nodded and was about to leave when Dylan tugged on my hand.
"Yes?"
"Um, is it okay if get a kiss?" He asks while rubbing the back of his neck nervously. I smiled and gave him a kiss on the cheek and he sighed.
"Bye Dylan." I said and followed my father to a secluded area.
"What was that about?" My father asked once we sat down.
"Oh that was nothing. He was just a fan that's all."
"Fan? A fan of yours?" He asks confuse.
"Yep. I have a band." I say with a shrug.
"That's nice. What instrument do you play?"
"I play the guitar but I sing for the band."
"Really? I want to hear you sing." He enthusiastically says.
