3rd person
"Donghyuck! I have a letter for you. It's a letter from the kingdom of the south!" A certain blonde haired boy came storming into Haechan's room. "What, why?" "Quickly, read it!" Jaemin cheered with sparkling eyes, looking at the pink to be opened letter like a kid waiting for candy.
The hazel haired just stared with furrowed brows at the already opened red seal. "My parents have read it earlier, haven't they?" "Y-yeah, I'm sorry. You know I have to follow their rules to bring it to them first." The blonde faced the ground as he said that, giving Donghyuck a apoplectic smile shortly after.
"Your parents ordered me to bring you this letter since you- you know, aren't in very good terms with them." Jaemin said quietly but still audibly for Donghyuck who was sitting on his bed.
The angel Jaemin is, he immediately tried to change the topic as he saw his friends sad expression: "The messenger who brought this letter was so cute! He had red hair! Red hair! And his features were so sharp! And he arrived here on a white horse! That's so noble right!? What was his name again? Jeno? Yes Jeno! The servant of king Mark? Anyways, I-"
Finally unfolding the piece of paper, Donghyuck laid his eyes on the inky and black cursive letters on the white surface. The writing should be considered as art, thats how pretty it was. The title said invitation and the prince immediately knew what the letter was about.
As he read further his thought was confirmed. It was an invitation from the southern kingdom for a royal ball for the new king to choose his queen. That kind of ceremony was a tradition. If a prince was crowned, his parents would throw a ball for the prince to choose his partner. Often it wasn't their decision to make the ball happen, it was their parent's one.
"Isn't that awesome!? Our mission starts!" Jaemin shouted because he had been introduced to the plan Renjun and Donghyuck had. "Be quiet you idiot!" Said a certain pink haired who just came into the prince's room.
"Yeah sorry." The blonde apologized but then glared at the pink haired as he retorted: "But it could also mean his parents mission, the killing and stuff-" "That ball is already next week!" Donghyuck said worriedly as realisation hit him hard, surely catching the attention of Renjun and Jaemin, his bickering servants.
"What about it? The sooner the better." Renjun shrugged. "No! I have to be prepared! If Mark chooses a girl other than me, we're basically doomed. You all and I am." Hyuck said more and more terrified about failing while shaking Renjun by his shoulders.
Jaemin then stepped in and and separated the pink and hazel haired. If the prince would have shaken Renjun any second longer, he would've passed out. "Listen Hyuck,..." Jaemin began "...all four kingdoms simp for you hard. You don't have to worry. As long as we don't get busted that you're a boy, and I'm confident your parents will make sure you look other opposite, it's fine, really."
"Yeah but what if-" "No buts, that's your only chance and you won't fail. Don't worry, we're always by your side dude" Renjun assured, pushing Hyuck down by his shoulders to sit on the bed.
"Mark won't get his eyes off of you-" "Yeah because I pretend being a girl." To that Jaemin kept silent but Renjun still had another argument: "No, because you're you. You don't fall in love with the looks, you fall in love with the person behind it."
"I don't know, I mean, we'll try. But will it work?" "Of course Haechan." Renjun said with a calming smile while hugging the hazel haired, same did Jaemin.
"I'm so glad to have you guys." Donghyuck sighed with a little smile platered on his face, just like the others had as well.
"Yeah but I have to break it to you. Because the ball is on Saturday and the ride there takes about three days, we have to leave in two days." Jaemin giggled nervously, still hugging the hazel haired tightly.
"My parents know about it right?" "Yeah they'll have everything prepared. But you still have to choose a dress. So I suggest going to the tailoring tomorrow to pick a cute dress for our princess Haechan." Renjun teased while pinching the prince's cheek.
"I hate this already" "Oh and we have to teach you princess manners so that you won't stand out in a bad way." Jaemin suggested. "You guys love this too much, dont you?" Haechan giggled with a irritated stare, playfully hitting Jaemin and Renjun ontheur shoulders.
"Of course, or we could just not help you if you'd want that." "No no, it's fine, really." The hazel haired pleaded.
"You should go to sleep, it's getting pretty late. I have to get my amount of beauty sleep. And the guards will check if everyone's in their room. We don't want to have any more trouble than we already have." Jaemin suggested, already preparing Donghyucks pyjamas and his bed.
"Yeah you have a long day tomorrow princess Haechan." "Renjun! You-"
And as you've already guessed, sleeping was a bit delayed due to a small fight scene between the hazel and the pink haired.
The blonde should be pitied here, it was very hard separating the fighting stubborn children. I mean, Jaemin still had to tuck the babies Jisung and Chenle asleep and read them a bed time story, so his routine was packed fully.
But that's another tale for another day.
