3rd person
"It's so.... wow." The hazel haired said completely starstruck, his amazement fully visible. Mark just observed the younger as his chocolate coloured eyes sparkled, Haechan currently looking around the garden, witnessing every little detail.
"What you waiting for? Don't just stare." The king giggled at the on the spot frozen male beside him. Since the hazel haired wasn't responding, his jaw remaining dropped to the floor, Mark simply intertwined their fingers again and dragged Donghyuck further into the garden.
The entrance was a little arch made of plants, beautiful flowers growing from it. Walking through it, the garden revealed it's full beauty. To say that the place was huge was an underestimate.
The area was hedged off, a deep green appearing all around them. The diverse colours of the flowers making a harmony of tones and shades. The field was painted in a parsley green, looking so soft and very tidy.
Carnivals of scents blew through the air, the flowers giving off all different kinds of pleasurable smells.
Humming bees darted through the air, creating calm and quiet buzzing. This was the scene Donghyuck could watch for ever. Or even the way the gravel crunched under their feet as they walked down the little path was so mesmerizing.
The flowers swayed in the slight breeze, which was cooling off a bit on his hot summer day. In the distance you could see a turquoise little lake reflecting the beaming yellow sun, resulting in the water glimmering as it swept back and forth.
Everything felt like a soul healing surreal dream: how the fluffy cotton clouds slowly wandered through the erternal deep blue sky or how soothing the sunbeam's warmth felt on Donghyuck's exposed skin.
"Do you like it?" "Pinch me. Wake me up." "What?" The black haired asked confused but then proceeded to giggling at the cuteness of the other.
"This is the best thing I've ever seen in my whole life." Haechan drooled, hopping around the garden like a little kid enjoying nature for the first time in their life. It wasn't like they hadn't a garden themselves, but this one, the one Mark had was surely different.
"Me at you." "What did you say?" Haechan asked as Mark babbled something under his breath. "Nothing, let's go. There's something else." The king spoke as he turned around to look at the princess behind him, wanting to distract from his previous sentence.
However this time instead of grabbing the other male's hand and dragging him, he reached his hand out for Haechan to grab it. As the hazel haired realized what Mark wanted him to do, a slight pink blush crept on his face as the now flustered prince carefully laid his hand into Mark's.
Similar to the one moment they had in the dining hall earlier that exact same day, time was completely stopped for a few seconds. Everything around them blurred out, all what mattered was them, Donghyuck and Mark, nothing else.
Haechan just concentrated on the kind expression Mark had plastered on his face, how his black strands swayed in the wind and how his eyes carried the whole universe in them.
All the hazel haired heard was his own heartbeat, beating in a quick pace, making it hard to breath.
The king experienced quite the same, but he rather was shocked about how breathtakingly beautiful the flustered male in front of him was. He also found it adorable what a tsundere Haechan was, blushing like crazy but also pouting and frowning as if his life depended on.
Lifting his hand carefully, the hazel haired locked his doe eyes with the king's, gently placing his hand into the other's. Haechan looked so confused about it but he still took Marks hand to which the latter just let out a little giggle. "Cute" was what the black haired dropped so suddenly that the younger became even more flustered.
Mark then started tracks in the direction he planned going to, sparing Haechan from further embarrassment.
In contrast to the dragging before, it was rather a relaxing hand-in-hand walk which messed with Haechans head even more. All he was staring at now was their interlocked hands, not believing how the fit so perfectly, almost as if they were completing each other. The hazel haired found their tangled digits more interesting than the colourful fields around them.
Haechan didnt even notice how they got to certain glasmade little house with a glassy dome on top.
"That's the butterfly house of this kingdom." Mark commented while stopping in front of it.
"A butterfly what?" "You don't know what butterflies are?" "I-I know. But-" "Butterfly houses are just a houses with a ton of butterflies in them." Mark explained while watching the younger expressions.
"See?" The king asked as he pulled the prince inside, the hazel haired being so shocked about the many little creatures flattering around the whole but room.
Some were big, some were small, some were fast, some were slow. All of them had as different patterns and colours.
"So pretty." The hazel haired said amazed as he reached out his hand, pretending to touch the butterflies which were flying up high above the male. The hazel haired even recognized some of them because he once had lessons about butterflies when he was home schooled.
"No, you are." Mark chucked as he picked a nearby flower, a small sunflower in particular, and placed it behind the hazel haired's ear, also stroking behind some hazel locks.
After a while of thinking what to respond, which actually took him quite long, he decided to just accept the compliment instead of sassing back something. "T-thank you." The secret prince quietly said, awkwardly looking around.
Maybe this stuff wasn't bad at all. He had to admit, he kind of really enjoyed getting so much attention and being showered in little complements. I mean, he always got attention and compliments from the peoples but it wasn't actually the same.
"Now reach out your hand and hold still." Mark ordered as he guided the youngers hand, gently holding his hand up and making him extend his index finger.
Soon a blue shining butterfly with black details came by, settling itself on top of the hazel haired's finger. "Wooow thats so cool." Haechan cooed, leaning forwards go observe the pretty deep blue butterfly.
However as fast as it appeared, as fast it also flew away, leaving with his majestic wing beats and having Haechan trace behind him with his eyes.
"I think we should go back, you can always come here, and also your friends, if you want to. Unfortunately I really have to get going, the ball is taking place soon. Have to dress up nicely, you know." Mark explained while pointing in direction door.
"Yeah you're right. Thanks for showing me this." Haechan said with a wide smile plastered on his face as he looked to the ground due to being that flattered.
"No problem." The black haired said, not resisting his urge to pat the youngers head because the latter was showing him the top of his brown locks.
And Haechan knew deep down that he didn'thate it.
It was actually quite the opposite.
