3rd person
"Haechan, sweety, our beloved princess. You're unable to understand how euphoric we are to see you again." Hyuck's mother said as she and her husband entered the huge dining hall in the southern kingdom.
"Hello my mother and father." The hazel haired bowed a bit his head as far as he could while sitting at the rectangular golden table next to Mark who just eyed him full of worry.
"It's out honour to have your majesty here." Marks mother, the former queen from the southern kingdom, retorted as Hyuck's parents took a seat across them.
It was a few days after the previous events and the king and queen from the eastern kingdom had arrived at the castle for a dinner together with both families. It was a common tradition if a member of the royal family married someone, so it was even more important when they were marrying an also royal person.
In those few days the king and the prince just spend time together, fullyenjoying the company of the other.
The hazel haired was obviously dressed up in his disguise in his long and curly wig and a golden shimmering beige dress which was actually way to tight, making it hard to breathe for the latter.
"So Haechan, how have you been? Have things been going well?" His dad asked, raising his brows at the second question while he had a quite threatening tone. Surely getting that his father was was referring to the plan, the hazel haired just rolled his eyes annoyed.
"Actually I'm pretty well. Better than at home, obviously." The fake princess suddenly dropped, making Mark almost spit out his wine- grape juice. Did Donghyuck really hate his parents that much? Yes, yes he did, like a lot in particular.
"That's so nice to hear. Its quite unnoticeable that you're missing in the castle." Hyuck's mum commented with glaring eyes and hand clenched around her cup.
"We've been informed that you too will marry each other and that soon, right?" The king from the eastern kingdom asked full curiosity, observing his son's reaction closely, the hazel haired being nervous due to the tense atmosphere.
"Yes, that's right." The raven haired spoke as he placed his hand on top of the younger's under the table, giving it a light squeeze to assure him that everything will be alright. The latter just look up surprised, soothed a little by the heart warming gesture.
The hazel haired has introduced Mark to what his parents motive was, Haechan actual mission being here to first marry Mark and then kill him afterwards, which he by the way would never dare to do. Haechan kind of wanted to warn the older by indirectly telling him how dangerous his parents were, he really didn't want the older to get hurt in any kind of way.
After a while of a shallow chit chat between the parents and the hand holding between the king and the prince, the food was finally served, making the conversations die down a bit.
"You remember what we told youright? And we're sure you both will have a very long lasting relationship." The queen of the southern kingdom chuckled quietly as her husband joined her, both staring at the hazel haired intensively as all he could do was nod, hands clenching around the cutlery between his digits.
All the hazel haired wanted to do was to jump at both if them and get them what they deserver for being that cruel. However, due to not wanting to make a scene nor being suspious, he just had to control himself.
"You're full?" Mark whispered after a while from the side, making the younger lean his head towards him to understand him better, then nodding.
"Mark, how many times have we told you it's rude go whisper when other people are around." The raven haired's mother interrupted as she scolded to which Mark stood up, pushing his stool back a bit.
"I highly apologize, but it's also rude to make people uncomfortable just like that." The king stated as he noticeable glared at Haechan's parents, totally not ashamed of directly calling them out that.
"Mark don't-" the younger tried but interrupted himself when he saw the older reaching out his hand.
"For Haechan and me, this dinner ends here. Have a great time." Mark spoke as Haechan laid his hand into his and also stood up, the hazel haired realizing what the older was about to do. Hyuck had never seen the male so pissed before and it sure was a scary sight.
The king just dragged the smaller out of the room, simply exiting without any other words spoken, still mad about which assholes the king and queen of the eastern kingdom were.
"You're being overprotective." The hazel haired giggled as they walked down the hallway, hand in hand with Mark but the latter was a bit ahead of him, kind of still dragging the smaller.
The raven haired turned his head around to look at Haechan, his scary expression softening a bit because of hearing the youngers giggles.
"I am not. Overprotective would be punching them right in the face, which I was actually close to do if they didn't sit so far away from us." Mark spoke with a little pout, making the younger smile widely.
"See you admitted it. Overprotective." Teased the prince as he made a kiss mouth, blowing kisses in a mocking kind of way.
The older just chuckled as he led the younger to a white polished staircase with a golden handrail, leading one floor up since they were on the middle floor.
"Where are we going by the way?" "The roof, there's a balcony there I really want to show you." Mark said as he looked at the younger who was quite flustered by the olders cute ideas and actions.
"And thanks, I guess, for standing up for me. I really didn't know what to do." Haechan said to which the other retorted: "No biggy, thats why I'm here."
"How many stairs are left, my feet are tired, my daily sport is already done." Whined the prince adorably as he bounced around a bit as much as he could while holding Mark's hand.
"We're here."
