Author's Notes | I'm focusing this one on the broken heart since I already wrote a piece for this request with Hvitserk mentioning the whole proposal ok? - Hacksilver (on Tumblr and soon here!) for whoever wants to see!

Björn wouldn't really realize he screwed up until the next time they meet each other and she doesn't call him "faðir". Then he would notice his words were too far, but even then, he wouldn't give up on his intentions.
"I apologize for what I've said but I won't apologize for protecting my daughter. I still don't want you to come with me and this has nothing to do with our bonds. I just want to keep you safe. Isn't it what a father should do? To protect his children?"

Ubbe curses right after the sentence he just spat, noticing immediately he did something hugely wrong and trying to prevent his daughter from leaving my holding her and touching their foreheads, holding her nape kinda forcing her to stay and listen.
"I'm sorry... I'm sorry, my child, I'm so sorry. I never wanted to say such a thing. I'm nervous! Your ideas make me nervous and I don't think straight when I'm tense like this. You are my child, my daughter, and I don't want you to get hurt or risk yourself."

Hvitserk is like described in Hacksilver: he goes for his child, speaks to her, tries to undo his mistakes and restore their trust, ending up accepting her company at the raid, by his side.
"I'm afraid I didn't do it right, afraid to see you hurt. I'm scared the gods had decided to call you into their halls before me. After all, I'm a father afraid to lose its child."

Sigurd would notice at the first second and he could even shut the sentence in the middle of it, immediately trying to apologize. He had too much of a traumatizing childhood when it comes to rejection and catching himself rejecting his own daughter would be a breaking point for him.
"What the fuck am I saying? Just forget it! Forgive me, please. Forget this shit, you are my sweet little girl and I just lost control for a moment. Forgive me... I just don't wanna lose you, love."

Ivar is more retracted. He would stand for his position and could even leave without speaking to her, but when coming back from the raid he would search for her with something he brought for her specially, sit and talk like a grown man should do...
"I know what I said has hurt you. And I'm sorry. I don't think you're ready for a raid, I don't wanna lose you or risk your life and I ended up letting this run over my mind and pour stupidity through my lips. Forgive me... But please don't ask a father to risk his little girl's life for nothing."
