Megan POV
The rest of the week goes by in a blur. Classes are relatively normal, my friend group has calmed down with the whole Dean situation, and Dean himself is acting like his normal arrogant and hilarious self, totally not murder-ish at all. I really do think I'm starting to like him though, maybe even more than a friend....
It's Friday morning, and I'm sitting in class, waiting for the bell to ring so we can start. Dean has slowly been coming to class less late by the day, which I find kind of nice. It sort of makes me think that he's eager to see me, or maybe that's just my delusional brain.
To my surprise, Dean walks through the door about a minute or two later than me, and the bell rings a few seconds after that. He sits down beside me, like he always does, but when he looks at me, I can see something new in his eyes, I can't quite place what it is though.
"Hey, you're early." I say, grinning at him.
"You're the only person that makes this class interesting, so that's the only reason as to why I'm here right now." Dean replies, returning my grin.
No. Way.
I am actually right, a part of me thinks that he thinks he should just show up on time so he wouldn't get in trouble. That's not the case though, because apparently I'm interesting!
I probably shouldn't be this excited about being called interesting, but I can't help it, it's not every day your crush complements you.
Wait. Crush? As in....I like him? Like, like him like him?
I unintentionally look down at the ground, smiling to myself, and I can feel my face heat up.
"You know, you're really cute when you do that." Dean says unexpectedly.
I look up at him in surprise, and see that he is giving me a look that is somewhere in between amusement and attraction.
I open my mouth to reply, but Mr. Teenes starts talking before I can do so.
Dean gives me one last admiring look, then faces the teacher.
I can't focus on the lesson though, all I can think about is what Dean said to me. Does he truly think I'm interesting and cute? Does he like me back? What will we become in the future if he doesn't?
Dean POV
I can't focus on the lesson right now, nothing is entering my mind except thoughts about Megan. I want to tell her how I feel, and today at lunch, will be the next step to that. I'm very relieved, however, that she believes my bullshit excuse as to why I was in the cornfield on Monday. I can't let her know who I truly am, and what I have done in the past, unless I feel like she would understand, but I highly doubt that.
In the end, when she saw me in the field, she ended up walking away quickly, and I ended up burying the body with no trouble at all. Just as long as she's not suspicious of me, or tries to turn me in, our relationship will be fine. More than fine actually. This time, I will make sure nothing comes in between me and the girl I love. Nothing is ever going to stop me.

Once the extremely pointless class that is photography is finally over, I start to pack my things, but I'm not planning on leaving right at the bell.
Once the bell rings, Megan gets up to leave, but before she can get very far, I grab onto her arm.
"Can I talk to you?" I ask, glancing at Danyelle, who is also stopped a few steps ahead.
"It's okay Danyelle, I'll meet up with you guys later." Megan says casually.
Danyelle shrugs, then walks out of the class, leaving Megan and I alone together.
"I wanted to see if you wanted to go out for lunch together?" I ask, studying her face intently.
Megan smiles brightly at me, then says. "Absolutely!"
"Great, let's go then."

Megan and I walk down a path that leads from the school, down to a plaza with different fast food places. I take her to a small coffee shop, and begin our date.
It goes great, she's a very interesting person with a different view to the world. She's honestly a lot like me, daring, fearless, humorous. She could be like me, if someone ever gave her the chance, and someone will, that someone being me.
All too soon, we have to go back to school for our next class.
"Thank you so much for that, I had a lot of fun." Megan says, smiling and glancing down at the floor. For some reason, I find that really attractive, then again, I find a lot of things about her attractive.
"No problem, I had a great time too." I say, smiling down at her.
We walk through the halls in the school, and eventually part ways. I'm half tempted to skip again, and do something more productive, but I suppose I have to show up to science class sometime, before the teacher tries to call my 'parents' at least.
As I'm walking up the stairs towards my class, I think to myself.
"Step two was a success. Now, time to put step three into action."
