Megan POV
I am once again staring up at my ceiling, except this time there is no anxiety or worry. I feel so....peaceful and happy. After my date with Dean, I feel all bubbly and excited. I really think he might actually like me, and I know for a fact that I like him.
It's Saturday night, nearly midnight actually, and I decide to play some games on my phone, since I can't really sleep. However, a few minutes in, I get a text notification. My heart skips a beat when I realize who it is.
Dean: Hey, you up?
I vaguely remember giving him my phone number on our date, not thinking much of it.
Me: Yeah
Dean: Good, meet me on the sidewalk in front of the cornfield in ten minutes.
This makes me hesitate for a moment. Is this a good idea? Obviously not. I really do want to go though. I know I shouldn't, but I want to.
I glance at the room across the hall from me, my mom's room. Her light is off, meaning she's asleep, meaning I can sneak out. Oh no, this is bad, but I soooo want to do it.
Me: Alright, I'll be there.

I quickly walk down the dark and shadowy sidewalk. I have a light grey hoodie over my dark grey t-shirt, but I'm still wearing my blue and grey camo pyjama pants. My hair too is kinda messy, and I probably look incredibly tired, but oh well.
After a few tense minutes of speed walking down my street, I finally come in sight of the school, and splayed out before that, is the cornfield. I walk down the left hand sidewalk, until I see a silhouette of a person on the right sidewalk, with only a road separating us.
I suddenly have a weird feeling of déjà vu.
I remember having a dream exactly like this moment here, standing on a sidewalk, looking over at the person on the other side, and running to them. That's exactly what I do, this time, in real life. I step down from the sidewalk, past the curb, and across the street (without being hit by a car). I make it to the other side in a matter of seconds. In the same moment, the figure turns around to face me.
Without even thinking, I wrap my arms around Dean, and at first he tenses with surprise, but seconds later he has his arms around my waist.
"Nice to see you too." Dean teases, laughing a little.
I smile up at him, and realize how close our bodies are to each other. I don't pull away though, and neither does he.
"So why did you want to meet up now?" I ask, tilting my head curiously.
"To watch the stars." Dean says simply, gazing up at the sky.
"This sounds like one of those cliche romance movies." I joke.
Dean smiles down at me. "Is there something wrong with that?" He asks softly.
I shake my head. "Not at all." I say, just as softly.
"Come on, I know of a good spot." Dean says, pulling away, but reaches for my hand.
I take his hand, and let him lead me down the sidewalk, and onto a side path that we went on yesterday when we went on our date. Up ahead, barely visible in the darkness around us, is a large dirt hill. It's sturdy and safe to stand on, but it's very steep to climb. I've been on it before, with my friends, but never at night....and never with a boy.
I start to climb it, and it's going well, until I step on a loose stone, which falls away the moment I put pressure on it. I start to slip from the hill, but before I can get very far, a hand wraps around my arm, keeping me from falling.
I look over at Dean, who is slightly ahead of me, but close enough to catch me.
"You good?" He asks.
"Yeah, thanks." I reply, giving him a small smile.
I can't really tell, but in the moonlight I think I can see him smiling back. He then lets go of my arm, and continues up the hill. I follow him soon after.
After a few minutes, we sit together at the top of the hill, gazing at the stars beyond us. We're both silent for a long moment, before Dean finally breaks the peaceful silence.
"I've always liked watching the stars." He says thoughtfully, still looking up at the sky. "Although, I've never had anyone to be with me when I do so."
I look over at him in surprise. "No one ever wanted to watch the stars with you?" I ask quietly.
Dean shrugs. "I guess everyone thought it was stupid." He says in a sad voice.
This is the first time I've ever seen Dean like this. His arrogant attitude and strange sense of humour melting away, to reveal a sweet and thoughtful person, where he doesn't have to put up an attractive front, because it's just me and him.
"I don't think it's stupid." I say softly, gazing admiringly at him.
This time, Dean looks at me straight in the eyes. Then, to my surprise, he reaches up, and pulls down his hood, revealing his messy reddish brown hair.
"You know what I like about you?" He asks, leaning closer to me. "The fact that you're not like other girls. You have so much more of a personality. You're so....real. That's what I love about you, Megan. That's....that's why I love you."
I can't breathe, I'm so stunned by Dean's confession, that I can't think properly. It hasn't even been a week yet of us knowing each other, and we already love each other.
"I love you too, Dean." I whisper. I don't even know if he heard me, but apparently he did.
Dean leans forward, placing one hand on the side of my face, and kisses me on the lips.
After a second of absolute shock, I kiss him back, and we stay that way for what feels like eternity.
Finally, Dean pulls back, and puts on his signature smirk.
"Megan White, do you want to be my girlfriend?" He asks.
I grin at him, probably so much that I look like an idiot. "Absolutely." I say, without any hesitation or stuttering.
We then reconnect our kiss, which this time is more confident. It slowly becomes more passionate, and soon I'm laying in the grass, with my new boyfriend hovering over me, still kissing and not planning on stopping any time soon.
