Megan POV
I slowly wake up to a faint grinding sound in the distance. It takes me a few seconds to gather all my thoughts, and process what exactly is going on.
I'm laying in my bed, but wait, there's something solid and warm pressed up against my back. I twist my neck around to see Dean in bed with me, with his arms wrapped around my stomach, and his head resting on my shoulder. I smile at him, even though he's sleeping and can't see me.
Memories of last night come crashing into my head. Wait, last night? Wasn't yesterday Thursday? Isn't today still Friday? What time is it?!
In a panic, I reach my arm towards my nightstand, and grab my phone. I turn it on and check the time.
Oh shit.
It's 9:26, which means....
That grinding sound is the garage door opening, and it stopped for a moment, but it's back on, meaning it's closing. My mom is home. She CAN NOT see my boyfriend in bed with me, especially since I haven't really mentioned him to her. In my defence, she's barely ever home, since she works pretty much all day everyday.
"Dean. Dean, wake up!" I hiss, turning around to face my boyfriend.
I shake him a few times, until he groggily opens his eyes.
"Mph?" He asks sleepily.
"My mom is home. She can't see you here. With me. Like this." I explain quickly, pulling myself out of bed.
When I finally manage to stand up, I realize I'm only in my bra and underwear. So is Dean, I mean, the underwear part. A mental image of Dean wearing a bra briefly flashes in my mind, which nearly causes me to laugh, but right now is not the time for fun and games.
I suddenly hear the door that leads from the garage to the house open. Oh shit.
My mom must have seen that my light is out, because she doesn't call up to me. I quietly throw on a pair of pyjamas, while Dean puts his own clothes back on.
"We need to hide you." I whisper to Dean, looking around my room frantically. My eyes land on my closet. "Go in here." I order, pointing to the closet. Dean nods, and slowly opens the door, which makes a horribly loud creaking noise (at least to me it sounds that way). He slips inside, closing the door behind him, just as I hear footsteps coming up the stairs.
I quickly dive back in my bed, fling the covers over me, and pretend to be asleep. Barely five seconds pass before I hear my mom come into the room. My heart is pounding so hard that I'm afraid she might hear it. Apparently she doesn't though, as she leans down, and kisses me on the side of my head.
Seconds later, she walks out of my room, and into hers. I can hear her closing her door, probably to get dressed into her pyjamas. I take that opportunity to spring out of my bed, and creep over to my closet.
I slowly open the door, hoping desperately that it won't make a sound, which thankfully it doesn't. Dean slides out, and I'm pretty sure he's grinning at me. I roll my eyes at him, then whisper.
"We need to get you out of here, but I can't risk my mom seeing you while she's awake."
"So you're saying we should just wait around until your mom falls asleep?" Dean asks skeptically.
"Well-" I'm cut off by the approaching footsteps of my mom.
Dean backs into the shadows from behind the door, but I'm left exposed while my mom's bedroom door opens.
"Oh, Megan! I'm sorry, did I wake you up?" She asks in a startled tone.
"Oh, no it's okay. I was just uh, I uh, I couldn't sleep, or I woke up....um, I uh just need to....use the bathroom." I stutter, feeling like a complete idiot. Wow, good job Megan. You will make a terrific spy one day.
"Alright, I just needed a one sentence explanation, not twenty." My mom says in a slightly annoyed tone.
"It wasn't twenty, it was two." I think irritably.
My mom walks past my room, barely glancing at it, then down the stairs. Once she's out of sight, I grab Dean's arm and pull him into the bathroom, closing the door and locking it.
"Well, this is a new one." Dean jokes, giving the lock an amused look.
"Ugh! This isn't funny Dean. I knew this was a bad idea." I snap, running my hands through my hair.
"If I recall correctly, your exact words were 'Why not? What's the worst that can happen?' So, I hate to disagree with you, but you seemed pretty confident with this plan." Dean points out, crossing his arms and arching an eyebrow at me.
"Yeah, okay fine, whatever." I sigh in exasperation, pressing my fingers to my temples. "So what should we do? How the hell are we going to get you out of here?"
"I can jump out the window." Dean suggests, nodding at the far wall with a window that might be just big enough to fit Dean through.
"No, it's too high up. You'll probably break something if you try." I say, shaking my head.
"Maybe not." Dean walks over to the window, opens it, and looks down. "Yeah, it's not that far down. I'll make it."
"But what if you don't? What if-
My sentence is cut off by Dean pressing his lips against mine. When he pulls back, he looks at me confidently.
"I'll be fine. See you on Monday, okay?" He says casually.
Dean then jumps up onto the windowsill, and starts to shimmy his way through the opening. He finally makes it out, clinging to the bricks. He looks up at me, his eyes sparkling in the moonlight.
"I love you Megan." Dean says quietly.
"I love you too." I reply, just as softly.
Dean skids down the wall, and makes it to the ground. He looks up at me one last time, gives me his signature smirk, and disappears into the night.
