Kix Part Two

I slowly opened my eyes groaning in pain as I attempt to sit up. "Woah brother you are in no condition to even think about getting up. Lay down." I feel a gentle hand pressing down on my good shoulder forcing me to lay back down. I look to see who the owner of the hand was. It's Jesse. I smile at him as he smiles but I can see the concern and worry in his face as he looks at me. "It's alright now brother your safe" He says and I nod before gently reaching out taking his hand into mine. I shudder remembering what the lizard had done to me. Remembering the pain... I felt Jesse squeeze my hand and leaning over to kiss my nose (like the picture above) I smile wider and gently bat his hand causing him to laugh. I look around seeing a very familiar barracks, not surprising considering the barracks all look the same save for the different types of posters. "Are we still on Coruscant?" I ask wanting to be sure. I need to prepare myself just in case the lizard comes back. Jesse nods, "Yeah we are. You weren't in a stable enough condition to move due to your arm being broken completely." I look at my arm hanging in the sling. Suddenly, I remember something. Wolffe! He tried to help me but that kriffing lizard hurt him! "Is Wolffe okay?" I quickly ask hoping that Jesse would tell me good news. I don't want my brothers to get hurt simply for trying to protect me from monsters. Jesse gives me a soft smile and begins to use his thumb to rub gentle circles into my hand in an effort to calm me. "He's fine. All he got was small bruises on his neck and a black eye. Honestly, you should be worrying about yourself considering the state that your in." I laugh quietly relaxing knowing that Wolffe will be fine. We both look over at the door as it opens revealing a large group of clones Wolffe included. He comes over to me as I take in the small bruises tainting his neck and eye. "How are you feeling brother?" He asks as he gently places a hand on my leg. I smile, "I'm Wolffe apart from feeling like a brick has slammed against my head" I hear small laughs around me as Wolffe grins. We descended into silence as I contemplated the recent events. That's when I realised that I didn't actually know what happened after I had passed out. "So what happened?" I ask curious to hear of the fate of my attacker. Rex spoke up as it was clear that neither Wolffe or Jesse would tell me. "The Trandoshan tried to escape but luckily Scythe had brought his blaster and stunned him. Jesse took you to the med bay whilst the rest of us guarded the lizard till the Coruscant guard. They said that you were fine to stay at the barracks and recover." I smile, "Well thank you for helping me. I don't doubt that the lizard had full intention of killing me." Jesse grins whilst the others chuckled, "It's no problem brother it's Waxer who should be taking the most credit here considering he's the one who heard you scream. Without him well let's just say that you would probably be saying hello to our past brother's. I really regret not getting to you sooner so I'm sorry for what happened..." A lot of brother's nod at Boil's words as Wolffe grimaces and Jesse tightens his grip on my hand. I respond by squeezing tightly before smiling, "It's alright at least you found me before he broke anything more serious. Thank you Waxer." They smile as Waxer nods at me. I yawn suddenly feeling exhausted as I hear my brother's chuckling at my action. "You need more rest brother. Don't worry we will protect you..." I nod as I close my eyes and let peace enfold me again...
