Rex's POV

Blaster bolts whizz past leaving a small amount of heat behind as they get too close for comfort. I grimace under my helmet as I hear yet another scream. The blaster shot definitely didn't hit me. But it did hit someone... My legs run by themselves as my world becomes a mess of light, dark, screams and shouts. Jumping behind a tree I watch as Zoomer a rookie. A child. Desperately runs for cover only for a grenade to land at his feet blowing him completely up. He doesn't even get a chance to scream. Red spots splatter across my vision as his blood rains down on me. This isn't worth it. I swear under my breath as I get up ready to give those Kriffers the pain and grief that they deserve. But we are losing. Soon, we will all become Zoomer if I don't do something soon. My fingers begin to painfully cramp as blaster shot after blaster shot is fired. One. Two. Three. Dead with just one well placed hit. My breathing becomes more erratic as we are slowly forced into a circle. Surrounded. With no hope of cover. Reinforcements. Or a reliable Jedi. "Come on boys! We can still win!" I listen as Fives shouts this watching as he flips an Umbaran (Or Umbarian not really sure please correct me), cracks their helmet and shoots them in the head. But I know that regardless of how much effort we put in. The blast shots that we waste. Nothing is going to stop our inevitable deaths. After all surrender is not part of our programming. I click my comm waiting for General Krell to answer, "CT-7567 what is going on down there! I told you to win and that is what I expect to happen!" I scowl under my helmet trying to grapple at my unchecked feelings whilst dodging yet another blaster bolt, "General! There is no possible way that we will survive this! We need to fall back an-" I hear an angry yell as Umbaran rushes me only to be hit by Hardcase who is now using his blaster as a bat. Typical Hardcase. "Captain if you even dare fall back you will not like the consequences" Looking around I watch as more and more of our numbers fall, more brothers screaming and Kix running in between wounded trying to help them all at the same time. This has to end. "I'm sorry sir but I'm going to have to ignore that order" I hear him furiously yell right as I turn off my comm. "FALL BACK" My brothers rush to follow my orders and as we run into the unforgiving lands of Umbara all I feel is a sense of dread wrapping itself around me. Krell will not be happy...

"CT-7567 come with me" I shudder as Krell forcefully grabs my arm dragging me away as some of my brothers watch in fear. The grip is bruising as his claws scrape against my armor. Finally, he fling me onto the floor. I barely keep my footing but I do and stand to attention accepting the punishment that I will receive. "You disobeyed direct orders" Goosebumps rise on my skin as panic steadily grows as I look into his sickly yellow eyes. His hanging chin sways slightly as he moves slowly towards me almost like he's stalking new prey. "I did sir. I did it to ensure that we would have enough men to be able to complete this mess of a mission. I'm sorry that you find this so inconvenient" I smirk a little watching as his eyes bow out with rage, "What orders I give. I expect them to be followed CT-7567. You obviously cannot be trusted enough to follow a simple order" Black tendrils of fear slowly wrap around me paralyzing me as General Krell lowers himself facing directly in front of my face. He breaths out as the need to gag rises in me as the smell of rancid breath filters through my helmet. Suddenly, I crash to the floor my vision going white for a few moments as pain blooms in my cheek and jaw. My helmet sits a few feet away and I grab hold of my cheek looking at the bright crimson blood coating my fingers. I look back at the general as he glares down at me, a cool icy shadow glazing over his eyes. The shock slowly goes away replaced by a dark cloud of fear. He smiles at me as his hand reaches out, I gasp as an invisible rope tightens around my throat cutting off any air. I kick out my legs as I'm lifted in the air still choking slowly. Darkness edges around my vision as I come face to face with General Krell. "See clone, this is what happens to those who don't listen" His fist clenches more as an unbearable pain starts in my throat. "to those who think they know better than I do" the black grows just like the pain as a tear slips down my face. Suddenly, he drops me. I gasp in gulps of air as my lungs rejoice as a coughing fit takes over me Krell grabs hold of my chin, "Don't let this happen again... Rex" He lets go as I fall hard to the ground watching as three Krell's walk away. Leaving me in the middle of a glade. I close my eyes as the painful ache begins. A sharp throbbing in my head signals an oncoming migraine. None of this would be happening if General Skywalker was here... I wish he was
