Dahyun always had crazy ideas and since my weakness was her, I couldn't help but succumb to her requests. Thus, I found myself climbing onto our roof where I helped her lay a mat where we could sit on. She had also brought a blanket to cover both of us and I was smiling at the sight of her making sure that my feet were warm. She was humming 'Fix You' as we sat on the roof, but I did not dare brought up the kiss for the moment we were in was almost perfect. I did not want to ruin it with a sudden awkwardness.

"So why are we here?" I asked instead.

"There's going to be a meteor shower," she informed me. She turned towards me as she added, "I wanted to see it with you."

"You're making me feel special," I teased her.

"Well, you are special," she answered, her gaze back to the sky.

"Now, you're flattering me," I said. My eyes were still on her as I added, "Those compliments are dangerous, you know."

"Why?" she asked, her gaze still above.

I couldn't stop myself from honestly whispering the words, "They make me fall for you more."

That brought her eyes back on me and her expression was still.

I smiled in order to eliminate the tense atmosphere, but my eyes widened as I exclaimed, "Look up! It's starting!"

At first, there was one streak of light in the sky, followed by another. Then there were two almost at the same time, then three, then four and then I already lost count. The darkness of the sky couldn't stop the meteors from adorning it with their beams. It was raining stars and I thought that it was one of the most beautiful scenes I have seen in my life – including the picture of the girl who was in wonder as she stared at the meteor shower above her.

People often say that one must wish upon a shooting star and despite a number of them happening at that instant, I only had one wish for all of them.

I silently prayed, "Please let her remember."

The comfortable silence that surrounded both of us was halted when Dahyun whispered, "Just like the stars falling for Earth, can I fall for you too?"

I quickly faced her, and she met my gaze.

Then she asked in an almost inaudible tone, "Can I love you?"

In just a split second, there were butterflies raging in my stomach and a storm of thumping in my chest. I wanted to scream and shout in joy, but I couldn't say anything. My voice was struck in my throat from the overflowing feeling of happiness.

Everything felt so surreal.

The girl who had my heart is now asking me to take hers as well.

She was blushing madly as I do nothing but stare at her. She bit her lower lip before exclaiming, "Hey. Say something so that if you reject me, I could just jump off this roof."

"You wouldn't do that," I grinned.

"Of course," she sighed, "I don't have the right to take my life away anyway and I'm not that kind of person –"

"No," I shook my head. My hand then reached her face and I looked straight into your eyes as I confessed, "Because I won't reject you."

"W-What?" she stuttered, clearly flustered.

But instead of replying with words, I closed my eyes and immediately glossed my lips over hers. My hand then travelled towards the back of her head as I deepened the kiss while my other hand caressed her back, pulling her even closer. Dahyun on the other hand, cupped my face with her hands as she earnestly responded the movement of my lips on hers.

We were breathless when our lips parted. For a while, we just let our foreheads touch, face resting against each other. Then a smile played on my lips. I opened my eyes to find that she too was smiling with her eyes still closed.

"Kim Dahyun," I called her, making her eyes flutter open. I looked into her orbs, memorizing how they spelled affection for me.

I couldn't wipe away the beam I have on my lips as I requested, "Say it properly, please?"

With her loving voice, she spoke the words I have been waiting to hear for long.

"I love you, Park Jimin."
