Stephenie closed her eyes as she stretched herself on the bed. She was thinking hard, so hard. The 411 rapist was just one big table to shake. If the right criminal was caught, does it mean another devil that operates just as him had arisen? Or could it also  mean that Wendy did a wrong calculation and arrested the wrong person for the crime?

It was a well known news round the region that Wendy had helped save the neighborhood from the school girl murders through her expertise in handling crimes . The rapist was widely called the 411 rapist because  his main territory was the 411 block in Gowon Estate. But now, based on hearsay, and what she'd seen recently, it seemed as though Wendy had the wrong guy. The modus operandi of this recent crimes was obviously the  same with the 411 case. The criminal had  violently knock the victim down and rape them to death, but in this current case, knocks them hard and murder them to death. She knew she had to see see some files to confirm her claim. It's a shame she had no preliminary view in it yet, but would definitely see the person with the forensic evidence. She had to see him. She had to see Charles immediately.

Her stomach churned as she sat up from the bed and headed towards the kitchen with the intention of making breakfast.

She sees Wendy sitted in the couch trying to tie the rope of her snickers properly. She was dressed in sweat pants and a sleeveless top.

"Off to the gym again" Wendy asked.

"Yea, you know right?
"Actually need some muscle for self defense you know" she continued.

"Ok, right."
"But you should avoid having and and muscle like a man. See your muscles popping up  already" she joked.

"Whatever"
"Who says I'm not a man, huh" she said raising her eyebrows.

"You know what? I give up"
"I  want to ask for a favour though" Stephenie said

"Ok, shoot"

"Can I get the file of the 411 case"

"The 411 case?"
"But the issue is already resolved" Wendy said wrinkling her face.

"Yea, I know but I think the recent crimes and that is connected" comes the reply.

"Ok then".
But first off you'll ask Michael about it. I did not plan on ransacking yet." She said.

When I'm back I intend to take the drawing from Ms. Mavins". She said heading out.

"Ok, thanks" Stephenie said.

Hello, how may I help you?
A sales girl asked Wendy.

Wendy had gone to the restaurant to take the drawings from Ms. Mavins as promised.

"I'm here to see Ms Mavins, we had an appointment for today" she said.

"I'm sorry, Ms Mavins had been absent for  three days  now. No one knows of her whereabout"

"What?"

"Yes, the police is on it already"
"We could have stopped running the business since she was our manager, but the economic crises the country is currently facing does not encourage that"
"And so we have decided to continue managing the day to day activities before she is discovered or a next of kin arrives"

Wow"
"Well, my name is Chinwendu Agu, a Special Agent in the Crime Departmental team here in Alimosho. I would like to check her office to see for any clue whatsoever".

"It's fine".
"This way ma" she said showing Wendy the office.

The smell of a newly installed air freshener hits Wendy as she enters the office. The table was so scattered and unkempt. Wendy began her search. She had to search well for any clue leading to the devil. She wondered where Ms. Mavins could have kept it. Her searched proved futile and she was frustrated about that.

"Damn" she exclaimed; banging the table with her hands.
