Family history (part 2)

Flashback:

"Keep up Y/N." I laugh and run after Audrey through the trees "Hey come back." she laughs "You have to catch me first." I run faster but trip over a tree root just as I tag Audrey on the shoulder causing us both to go tumbling to the ground. I stand and dust of my dress "I'm so sorry, are you alright?" she laughs and I help her up "I'm fine, but my dress is dirty." I frown "Are you going to get in trouble?" she nods "Don't worry about it." I nod and we continue walking through the trees "I can't believe I'm leaving tomorrow." she nods sadly "I'm going to miss you." I nod "You to."

We reach the palace gardens and race each other back to the palace steps "Audrey what did you do to your dress?" she goes to say something but I intervene "It's my fault your highness, I tripped over and fell onto Audrey." Aurora frowns slightly "I didn't ask you." Audrey frowns "She's telling the truth mother, I'm very sorry." Aurora frowns "Sorry's not going to get that stain out, inside both of you." the two of us walk up the steps slowly and Aurora grabs my arm while Audrey walks inside "You are a bad influence on my daughter and I don't want the two of you continuing this friendship." 

I look up at her confused "But she's my best friend." Aurora shakes her head "I'm sorry but I want the best for my daughter and I didn't want to say this but you won't be visiting again." I frown "Then we'll right letters." she shakes her head "No you will only cause Audrey a lot of pain please understand that this is for the best." I think for a moment not fully understanding only knowing that I don't want to hurt my friend "Can I least say goodbye?" she shakes her head "No and you can't tell anyone about this conversation." I nod slightly still confused "Alright I don't want to hurt Audrey and if you think that it is for the best then I'll do as you ask."

End Flashback

"You and Audrey were friends?" I nod and smile sadly "It wasn't until I was older and my dad told me about his and mum's history with her parents that I understood slightly. But by then it was to late Audrey hated me and her mother had turned her against me and my family. I sent several letters but never got any reply so I gave up."

He nods "You have quite a story." I chuckle and nod "I just wish I knew  what happened to my father." he nods and moves next to me wrapping an arm around my shoulders "If I can help I will." I laugh "You know for a pirate your not bad." he chuckles "I try my best princess." I lean my head on his shoulder and sigh relaxing slightly "Thank you for listening." he smiles "Of course princess." 

I roll my eyes slightly "I've done enough talking, what's your story?" he shrugs slightly "My mother died when I was seven giving birth to my little sister. She died shortly after. My father became more distant and ignored me all the time. He forbid the mention of my mother and I grew up with Uma and Gil the three of us trying to impress our parents."

He smiles sadly "I miss her." I wrap my arms around him "I'm sorry." he nods slightly and wraps his arms around my shoulders "At least now I have you." I blush slightly and he grins kissing my cheek lightly.
