A few solar cycles had gone by since Undertaker and I had gained Megatronus' communication code. The thought of possibly befriending this merciless gladiator was very nerve racking. Undertaker doesn't care to listen when I say there is something off about him, he was more excited about the fact that he could communicate with him and vice versa. I of course was both uncomfortable and suspicious, what famous gladiator comes up to someone ordinary and offers to get to know them better?
I shook the thoughts from my processor and went back to my work. As of this moment, I was working on a new invention. A device that uses light as a way to camouflage someone or something into anyone or anything, something I had been considering creating for years. It was nearly a quarter of the way complete, but there was one problem. I require the white opaque substance of 5-78. Unfortunately I had run out of that ages ago on my ship, and I do not know where to find it on this world. So for now, I must put that project aside until I could find some.
I sighed and removed my mask, setting it on the table I was working at. Turning towards the cloning chamber, I felt my frustration melt away at the sight of my sleeping Predacon sparkling. She was nearly 70 percent complete, resting at a comfortable 68 percent. But her colors had fully developed, her armor was slowly but surely getting there as well. She was developing at a slightly faster pace as of late, perhaps it is because we are out of a hostile environment.
"You stare at the little beast a lot."
Turning my helm, Undertaker entered my laboratory and walked over to the cloning chamber. I walked around the table and did the same, approaching the sleeping Predacon. The younger mech kneeled down to look at my creation, his head cocked to the left.
"Actually, now that I look at it, it's kinda...cute. Adorable even." He said.
Cute? Adorable?
"That wasn't exactly what I was planning for her to be."
"Even if you didn't plan it, I think it's great. So when is it supposed to uh, wake up?" He asks.
"Not for a long while, it's taken millions of years just to get her this far."
Undertake turned and stared at me.
"Jeez! So this thing might emerge when I'm nearly dead??"
"Not likely. She's been developing faster lately, and don't think that being old is a bad thing."
I smacked him upside the head. He flinched and stood up, backing away from me. I smirked at him and looked back to my creation, placing my servo upon the glass.
"Can I ask why you're so attached to this Predacon?"
I sighed, "She's all I have left to remind me of my maker, Quintus Prime. We worked on this project together, until the day he passed on in my arms."
Undertaker appeared sympathetic, placing his servo upon my shoulderplate. I raised an optic ridge as I was not used to this type of physical contact. He gave a few pats.
"I'm sorry to hear that, Nex. But at least you got this little sparkling."
Suddenly a beeping noise filled my audio receptors, it startled me and apparently Undertaker heard it too. It was our com links, and I knew exactly who was trying to contact us. I dreadfully put a digit to my helm, accepting the transmission. Undertaker did the same in a more excited manner.
"Hello?" I ask.
"Ah Nex and Undertaker, it is Megatronus. I am contacting you both to see if you would be interested in meeting this evening."
This was my chance to get out of it.
"Unfortunately I don't think-"
But Undertaker intervened.
"Sounds like a plan, we could meet at Macaddams here in Iacon if that's alright with you." He said.
I shot him a death glare, to which he replied with a mischievous grin.
"Very well, we shall meet you there." The transmission cut out.
I stared at the younger mech.
"I will KILL you for that."

Undertaker and I had arrived at Macaddams later that evening, we were waiting outside for the gladiator and quite possibly Shockwave and his other friend as well. In fact, I think that other friend was the same one I had seen here the first time, moving all strangely. I am NOT looking forward to tonight, it will be rather long and very awkward. We were waiting for a few minutes when we saw the gladiator himself along with the same bluish purple and gold mech approaching us.
"Glad you two could make it. Shall we go in?" Megatronus asks.
"Absolutely, after you sir." Undertaker said.
The gladiator and his friend entered first and we followed behind them, they headed toward a table and sat down. We received many stares as we went and sat down with them, but I didn't care at all truth be told. We had all ordered our drinks, I once again got a high grade, and we waited for them to be brought out. During that time, small talk was made.
"So tell me, what do you think of Kaon?" Megatronus asks.
"It's much different than Iacon, for certain." Undertaker replied.
"And you, Nex?"
I was hardly paying them any mind as my own was thinking of different things.
"Hm?"
"Your opinion of Kaon?"
"Oh, different."
A few minutes later, our drinks were brought out. This is truly going to be a long night.
