All of the glee kids are sitting in the choir room talking amongst themselves while waiting for Mr. Shue to walk in. Sam and Naomi are holding hands and talking quietly with smiles on their face as everyone else around them busies themselves with another conversation.
"So halloween is coming up, what are you gonna dress up as?" Sam asks Naomi smiling at her still wondering himself if this is really happening, if they really are in fact seeing each other after he spent weeks pining after her.
"Don't laugh at me." Naomi warns with a gentle smile on her face, "So, Sue's nickname for me is Princess Jasmine, and so I was thinking and I think it would be really cute, and I might even be able to make the costume hot." Naomi tells him with a small smile on her face proud of her idea.
"Thats an awesome idea! You could totally pull that off!" Sam tells her excited as well.
"I mean, the costume won't be complete without my Aladdin though.." Naomi trails off trying to hint towards Sam that she kinda wants to do a couples costume with him.
"I could be your Aladdin!" Sam says as he finally catches on to what she's saying. As he volunteers to be Aladdin with her Naomi squeals in her seat clapping quietly doing a little celebratory dance.
As Naomi and Sam make more plans to hang out on Halloween they are cut off as Mr. Shue runs into the room and begins the lesson for the week.
"Great news guys!" Mr. Shue announces as he walks into the room. "I've had a little inspiration. This weeks musical lesson isn't really a lesson... It's a musical." He tells them all leaving them in suspense as to what it's gonna be.
Naomi starts hoping immediately on her favorite musical "Please be Camp Rock..." She mutters to herself not knowing that practically everyone heard her.
"If its camp rock I think you and I would be the perfect Shane and Mitchie" Sam tells her with a smile as she nods back already excited.
"Rocky Horror." Mr. Shue announces to the group proud of himself. After he announces the musical sounds of confusion echo out from everyone.
"Thats a little inappropriate, don't you think?" Naomi says out loud in confusion.
"I've never seen it" Finn says in complete confusion at what all the talk is about before Rachel raises her hand preparing herself to speak up.
"Mr. Shue? While I admire your choice of the groundbreaking 70's musical, aren't you worried that the adult themes might be a point of controversy?" Rachel asks as she voices the concern that her and a couple others had.
"Seriously, a school in Texas couldn't even do 'Rent'. It caused an outrage and they had to cancel the show." Kurt says doubting that this could actually end up happening.
"Isn't that the whole point of the arts?" Mr. Shue rebuttals before continuing his argument, "Pushing boundaries? Doing things people say you can't do for the sake of self expression. I got it all figured out, I cut out some of the more risqué scenes and I'm gonna send home permission slips to your parents to make sure they are okay with it." Mr. Shue explains as he passes out the forms before continuing with what he believes is the best part. "And, we will charge an admission fee. All of the proceeds from the show will go towards the funding for our trip to Nationals in New York!" Mr. Shue exclaims getting to the best part which elicits gasps of excitement from the whole group.
"Okay lets talk about casting." Mr. Shue starts before Rachel cuts in once again.
"Oh, Finn and I will play Brad and Janet." She volunteers with a still confused Finn sitting next to her.
"And I'll be playing the guy in the wheel chair right?" Artie asks Mr. Shue
"Thats what I was thinking." Mr. Shue tells him. "and I thought Kurt, could play the role of Franknfurter." Mr. Shue tells them all with a little smirk before immediately being shot down by Kurt himself.
