"Alright we need $5,000 to pay for our trip to Nationals in New York," Mr. Shue announces as he writes down a math problem on the board.

"What happened to the money we got from the cheerios?" Quinn asks just as confused as the rest of the class.

"uh-I guess Sue was hiding it in off shore accounts in the Cayman islands," Mr. Shue tells the group who all are shocked at the lengths Sue went for the Cheerios budget. "and we're having some trouble accessing it. Any of it." He finishes with a noticeable sigh of annoyance.

"This is saltwater taffy," Mr. Shue announces with a grin as he picks up the piece of candy.

"Ah, I love salt water." Brittany tells the group at the same time Naomi says "I love taffy!"

"When I was a student here, we paid for our entire trip to Nationals, selling this." He says before he starts tossing his students the taffy to try it. "Classroom to classroom, door to door, We pushed this stuff like crack. And so will we. So, to make $5,000 at 25 cents apiece, we need to sell 20,000 pieces of taffy."

"Do you honestly think we can sell 20,000 of anything? I mean we won Regionals for the first time since dinosaurs roamed the planet, and Nay and I still got a freaking cherry Icee facial." Santana tells him doubting this entire plan.

"It was so cold..." Naomi mutters thinking about it as Sam grabs her hand and squeezes it comfortingly.

"Yeah, Santana's right. Nobody cares about us." Quinn tells them with a sardonic smile.

"I can't listen to this." Mike groans out as he collects his stuff and gets up to leave.

"Mike you okay?" Mr. Shue asks as the dancer starts to walk away.

"No." Mike snaps, "You guys complain all the time about being mistreated, but you have no idea what it's like to work your butt off for something, and have everyone, even your friends, ignore you." He tells the group getting sympathetic nods from Artie, Tina, Brittany, and Naomi.

"I am so trying to remember his name right now." Lauren says as she looks at Mike in concentration.

"Artie, Tina, Brittany, Naomi and I are on the brainiacs" Mike reveals as all of them walk up to the front with him.

"Isn't that the schools Academic Decathlon team?" Rachel asks as she finally starts to piece together what Mike's frustration is about.

"Wait we have one of those?" Finn asks with a mouth full of taffy.

"Yes, we do." Artie tells him indignantly as he crosses his arms. "The five of us went on 'The Smartypants Show', and beat Carmel High to go to the Academic Decathlon Finals in Detroit next week."

"Wait, you guys were on TV?" Sam asks shocked as he looks at Naomi who looks annoyed at him. "Well, why didn't you tell us about it?"

"We did!" All five of them say simultaneously before Naomi looks back at Sam in frustration.

"Sam, I told you that we were going to be on TV, you said you would watch us." She says as annoyance laced her words and Sam's eyes went wide just now remembering that he did say that.

"Wait I... I get the four of you being on the team..." Mr. Shue says as he points to the group.

"Is it because two of them are asian, one of them is Indian, and Artie wears glasses?" Puck asks oblivious to how many offensive stereotypes he was perpetuating.

"No..." Mr. Shue says concerned with how wrong that was, "but Brittany?" he asks them in confusion.

"Liz Schneider was our fourth, but she got Rubella." Mike tells them filling them all in.
