Runaway.
"Time travel?" Pepper paced in front of her daughter angrily, "Really, Stevie? You were going to run off with some fifteen-year-old stranger and attempt to travel back in time to visit your father?"
"He's not a stranger, per se." Stevie was sat on the couch in the living room with Peter staring her down in the seat across from her. Pepper continued to pace, deciding to ignore her daughter's snarky comment in the way that she usually did when Tony had said something similar.
"Regardless of whether you knew him or not, Stevie, did you really think this through?" There was a lengthy silence. "What if you had gone back in time, claimed to be Tony's daughter and he just- oh, I don't know- crushed your dreams by choosing not to believe you? Do you know how painful that would've been?"
Stevie stayed quiet, looking up at her mother with glossy eyes.
"Sweetie, I understand how much you want to see him. He was a great man, and a great father. He would've loved you. But playing with time just to find him isn't the way to do it." She ruffled Stevie's hair and passed her the glass of water that she'd gotten for her, watching patiently as the teen gulped it down. "Promise me that you won't try something like this again?" Stevie nodded in response...
But, half-an-hour later, Stevie found herself stood outside of the Stark-Potts household, clutching a duffel bag and staring out over the water glumly. It wasn't until a few moments later, when the loud roar of a ship's engine startled her, that she snapped back into reality and really observed her surroundings.
Before her hovered The Milano. The door slowly heaved open, revealing the familiar faces of her second family. She knew that she had to get in and get out of sight as quickly as possible, so she kept her excitement short-lived and stumbled aboard as swiftly as she could.
"There she is!" Peter Quill jumped out of the cockpit and made his way towards her, pulling her into a hug. "You know what to do, sourpatch." Out from the shadows stumbled an annoyed Loki, looking as though he were ready to punch anybody at any given moment.
Now you're probably thinking: Loki, why are you on a ship with the biggest losers in the galaxy, willingly shapeshifting into a teenager so that she can run away and disobey the orders of her mother? Well the answer is: The Guardians found Loki in a similar state to how they found Thor and decided to nurse him back to health, and therefore Loki owed them an 'un-payable debt.' He hadn't actually been killed by Thanos as everybody had presumed he was. (He would have turned blue if he had been... duh).
"You're lucky that I actually like this child." Loki patted Stevie on the head before shifting into her form and stalking away from the ship, "come back soon!" He told them, sounding exactly like a teenage girl. "I can't deal with the Spiderling for very long without having the sudden urge to rip his puny head off." He strolled away, muttering a mocking 'I'm Peter Parker. I'm always happy!' as he wandered out of earshot.
Thor stepped forwards, sucking in a deep breath as he shut the door to the jet. "Well then!" He grinned, "Where to, Stark?"
"Vormir."
