Love You Like The Movies

Chapter 5

She was looking forward to Monday night which will be held at Ju Yeon's house. She wanted to make sure to talk to him afterwards.

But he was a no show. Her indiscreet search for him didn't went unnoticed by Ju Yeon and she told her that Hyo Seop had a heavy scene that would end up quite late and so had to excuse himself from tonight's gathering. Ju Yeon quietly gave her a knowing smile. She was somehow relieved that maybe he wasn't avoiding her afterall.

The next night was held at Min Jae's house and she was elated to see that he came. He gave her a tight smile and she won't deny that she was somehow disappointed that he sat down on an empty chair away from her. The episode that night was the paramedic who died and she almost forgot that the ending scene was their "reset" kiss. Everyone in the room were making a lot of noise as the scene was nearing. There were catcalls, whistling and drum rolls. She wanted to give herself a pat on the back for maintaining a neutral face while the truth her stomach felt like it was thrown inside a washing machine. She kept stealing glances at the Canadian boy but she couldn't decipher his face.

Suddenly she saw him..yawn.

She wanted to smack him in the head. Here she was having a roller coaster of emotion and he had the audacity to yawn!

After the credits rolled everyone clapped their hands for another job well done. This time she refused to look at him as she was still fuming mad. Then Yoon Bora suggested they play spin the bottle as everyone was still hyped up and wasn't ready to go home.

The rules of the game was 1.) if someone cannot do the task for dare that person must take a shot of soju and 2.) same with the truth if someone refused to answer the question that person must take a shot too.

It was such an unforgettable fun night filled with howls of laughter as everytime the bottle stopped almost everyone of them had chosen dare and nobody had shied away from even the most ridiculous tasks. Yoon Nam Mo and Jeong Ji An had all the proof as they were the ones who kept taking photos that night.

Finally, the bottle stopped at Ahn Hyo Seop. For the first time someone chose to go with the truth. There was a beat of silence as everyone of them was thinking the same thing. The knots were back in Sung Kyung's stomach as she kept rubbing her now wet palms on her jeans. She knew the dreaded question was coming and it did in the form of Yoon Nam Mo.

"Ahn Hyo Seop Shi, is there a truth to the rumours going around that you like our Lee Sung Kyung Shi here?" No mincing of words just a straight forward question that everybody was anticipating the answer too.

There were a few giggles from the girls as everyone was waiting fo Hyo Seop's answer.

Jeong Ji An who was sitting beside Sung Kyung kept nudging and wiggling her eyebrows at her and she wanted to scream at her to stop. She could feel her heart beating loudly in her chest it was taking all that she had learned from her pilates and yoga class to stay calm and not ran away from where she was. She both dreaded and wanted to know his answer at the same time.

She still refused to look at him but this time it's because she was afraid to see the expression in his face. However out of the corner of her eyes she saw him take the bottle of soju, filled up the shot glass in front of him and drank it up.

A few groans of disappointment were heard from their friends as she too couldn't make sense of what she was supposed to feel.

Yes silence was the right thing to do, after all there were thing best left unkno—

"Yes I do."

He said what?

She almost got a whiplash when she suddenly turned her head to look at him. Shock was running through her body as his words reverberated in her head.

But the idiot was looking everywhere but her.

Suddenly the room was in chaos as everyone started teasing them.

She felt the girls making a fuzz around her but she couldn't be sure as her attention was to the man who's currently making her world spin like crazy.

The guys were punching him in the arms and ruffling his hair but she couldn't see the expression on his face as his head was bowed down. As if on cue Hyo Seop looked up and their eyes met. She wasn't sure but for a second there she thought she saw his eyes twinkled but then he quickly looked away. The next time he gazed at her she looked surprise as his eyes seemed cool and detached and the next thing she knew he was telling them to stop.

"Com'on guys it's no big deal. Sung Kyung noona is beautiful I'm sure most men and women too who had met her weren't immune to her charms. I'm just being candid about it because you asked and there's no point in denying it right?" He told them nonchalantly and took another shot of soju. There were "oohhs " and "aaahhs" from around the room in agreement.

"Alright let's see who's next!" He called out as he turned the bottle again.

And so the game continued but Sung Kyung's mind wasn't in the game anymore his off handed remark about liking her wasn't sitting well with her. Does he mean that liking her was nothing special? Didn't he know that he almost cost her a heart attack just for him to say it was no big deal? How dare he? Now she was back to fuming mad at him.
