Love You Like The Movies

Chapter 7

Over the next few days their dynamics was back to how it was and maybe more. She was glad and grateful that their cast mates had kept the incident that night among themselves although they would give the two of them knowing looks and would occasionally tease them away from prying eyes.

After that night she was more clued on  to the little gestures that Hyo Seop had been doing for a while now like stacking his dressing room drawers with packets of candies and chocolates which she realized she was the only one eating, he would even have some on the pockets of his scrubs anytime she would be craving for some. He also at times would  buy her favorite doughnuts from the little shop that was out of his way claiming he liked their coffee too when in truth she learned from Min Jae he didn't drink them at all as he called them "coffee flavoured water."

She was now more aware too of his blatant staring that on the day they had to shoot their video of Your Day by Gummy the song that they promised their audience, they had to re take it a few times because the idiot kept looking at her three quarters of the time and the only time he took his eyes away from her was to check on the lyrics. She finally asked for Shin Dong Wook to come to cue him out everytime he was doing it as she was starting to feel flustered and couldn't concentrate on the song. The final take was a success and well he might not have been directly looking at her most of the time but he was still staring at her on the screen of her laptop. Apart from that he was receiving several unceremonious well deserved kicks from her on a daily basis too as she kept telling him to stop to which the only reply he gave was "I couldn't help it so what's the point of stopping?" and a shrug.

Her heart would skip a beat everytime.

She realized that she herself too was changing to accommodate him that one night of their weekend ritual as they were settling down to choose from the multitude collection of romcoms she had he asked,

"So who are we swooning over tonight?" While popping a handful of potato chips on his mouth.

Another thing she had discovered about him now that they were more open with each other. The man had a bit of sarcastic and dry sense of humour in him and he liked to use it on her.

She just gave him a pointed look and pressed play. A desert scene with a running trailer van and a naked man wearing a gas mask driving appeared on screen.

Hyo Seop almost choked on the chips he was eating and had to take a huge gulp of his beer before turning to Sung Kyung with surprise clearly written on his face.

"We're watching Breaking Bad?!"

"Well, I guess it's just fair that we should take turns to choose what to watch on the weekends don't you think? Besides you've been talking non stop about this series I think it's time I should give it a try." She said smiling at him.

It's true in their every conversation he would usually quote scenes from his favorite TV series once or twice and had been encouraging her to watched it as according to him it was the greatest show on earth.

"You won't regret it noona it's really awesome." He said excitedly as he positioned himself more comfortably on the sofa.

His sparkling eyes and contented face as he intently watched the show made her glad that she did it.

She realized she now understood what he meant by watching her more than the movies as she found satisfaction by watching him instead with  eagerness on his face.

She realized her walls that had been fortified overtime was softening up to this sweet Canadian boy.
