Chapter 13

Sung Kyung fixed her cap and mask as she looked at herself in the mirror one more time before she reached over at the backseat of her car for the bag filled with her peace offering for Canadian boy. She hesitated and turned to look at herself in the mirror once again and took a deep breath while shaking her hands to calm herself down. She had been doing this for close to thirty minutes now inside her parked car on the parking lot of Hyo Seop's building.

It took her a while earlier to finally decide to call Min Jae and ask for help. She was unsure though if calling Min Jae was a good idea as she felt like a guilty criminal being extracted with information from the way Min Jae was interrogating her. She just wanted to know the guy's address for heaven's sake!

"You want hyung's address noona?" Min Jae asked eagerly.

"Ah yes." Maybe if she kept her answers curt he wouldn't ask too much.

"Is there any special reason why you need to know? Are you by chance visiting him?" He asked once again sounding like a gossip columnist in training.

Well so much for hoping.

"Well, I made extra food and I'm giving it out to friends and I'm having some delivered to you too by the way." She said as casually as possible.

"Thank you noona!"

But the guy was relentless and his next question shocked her.

"Does this effort of yours got something to do with the fact that you and Hyo Seop hyung are not talking to each other is it?"

"May I know how you came to this conclusion?" She answered his question with a question too as she came to realize that Min Jae was in the know of what was going on.

"A little birdie may have told me." He confessed.

More like a very tall birdie she wanted to say. So it seemed that Canadian boy wasn't unaffected after all.

Min jae took her silence as being offended.
"I'm sorry noona I'm not getting into both your business but hyung and I got talking a few nights ago and well I just asked if things were fine with you two because he looked quite off and the only person who could affect him as much is you." He said in concern.

She felt a pinch in her heart in confirmation that Hyo Seop was truly waiting for her to take the step and she was grateful at the same time to have someone like him who truly understood her.

"It's fine Min Jae I'm glad we have a friend like you. Don't worry I just needed sometime to think things over. I'll talk to him soon I think we've been silent with each other long enough." She told him truthfully.

He then gave her his address but before they ended the call he told her, " One more thing noona. You see I did sky diving once and do you know that the beauty of it was in the rush of letting go and falling? I believe it's the same in life too we'd appreciate it more if we let the chips fall where they may. And I also believe that there are some things in life that are just worth fighting for." She could only imagine the knowing look in eyes and the smile on his face.

It seemed that these younger men in her life knew what they're doing than her but he did gave her something to ponder on.

So here she was building up the courage to see Canadian boy and it's taking sometime as she kept running in her mind how to explain her presence when he'd see her standing at his door. She closed her eyes as she gripped her steering wheel and calmed herself breathing in and out when she was jolted by someone knocking on her window. She found herself staring at those familiar brown eyes.

Canadian boy. Well it's now or never.
