Chapter 12

Flashback

It's been almost two weeks since the incident that night at her home happened or specifically at her door and since then there was no word from Hyo Seop. Not a post on his Instagram nor on their group chat. The only indication she knew he was alive and breathing was his media exposure, him reading the chat messages and deleting posts from his Instagram. So okay she may be checking on him a little bit too much but the man had been extra quiet. Not a peep. Nothing.

Fine she may have been sort of quiet than her usual boisterous self too as she was still slightly unnerved with what happened. But atleast she joined the group chat conversations and had been posting on her social media accounts to show her friends, her fans and well if she was to be honest to him that she was fine. She even posted a cute video of her and Geurumee in bed hoping to get some sort of reaction from him because although they don't follow each other to avoid speculations they do check each other's account and would  chat privately. Yet still nothing. She knew she could be the one to start reaching out to him but she was afraid to. She was scared that he might be expecting more after that night and she just wasn't ready for that.

Yet this was Ahn Hyo Seop. Her Hyo Seop. The guy who may have always been forthright with his feelings for her but had never overstepped his bounds and had always waited for her to make the first move and she supposed that's what we was waiting for. Honestly she was missing him a lot.

However, like adding insult to injury the whole nation and the rest of the world was currently suffering from a deadly pandemic that everyone was advised to stay at home. Now going out freely was not an option, all her work was put on hold and their fan meet to Japan was even cancelled which would have been a good place to start talking again. So here she was stuck in a rut inside her house with nothing better to do than to watch her rom coms which made her long for him more. With silence ringing on his side of the pond she tortured herself by watching recorded videos of them in her phone, their BTS videos on YouTube as well as fan made videos of them which she was surprised to see that there were quite a lot and were beautifully done too. She was even thinking of resorting to read fan fictions about them but then decided not to. She was afraid that with those talented writers' vivid imagination she might just end up proposing to Canadian boy.

Lounging on her sofa with nothing better to do she resorted to her stalkerish behaviour by checking his Instagram again for the umpteenth time and suddenly she jerked herself sitting up straight and her heart rate increasing because this time around staring at her was a picture of Hyo Seop sitting in a restaurant. What was he doing in a restaurant? She immediately started scrutinzing it. She couldn't recognize the place, it didn't look like a fancy restaurant maybe somewhere near his place? She used her fingers to enlarged the picture to focus on him. Did he lose some weight? His face looked thinner and his hair was a bit longer too. Reading the caption below the picture it said noodles + kimchi pancakes. Suddenly she found herself pacing the room and fuming with anger while thinking one, why the hell would he risk going outside to eat when there's a deadly Virus going around when he could just have noodles and kimchi at home? Two, how could the idiot look so relax after what happened and still have the time to eat out and ignore her? And three, who the hell was he eating out with? Was it one of his guy friends? Or she didn't want to think about it...was it a girl?

She now realized sitting around wasn't an option anymore she had to do something if she didn't want to go stir crazy with all the questions on her mind. She needed a plan. She was a good cook and since it seemed that  Canadian boy was craving some authentic Korean food maybe she could make some kimchi jjigae with her mom's delicious kimchi which she had loads of in her fridge. She could  hand deliver it to him in the guise of making too much  and she was sharing it with friends. Yes, she had a good plan. She hurriedly went to her kitchen to prepare the stew luckily she had her grocery done by her mom just a few days ago and she had everything that she needed and so she added a few more extra dishes too. After everything was packed and she was now both ready and nervous to go it dawned on her that she had one more hurdle to cross.

She didn't know where he lived damn it.
