Today was slow day at work. I spent the day dusking things that didn't even need dusking. I had lunch break in 30 minutes so Dwayne was gonna bring me food. I was slowly cutting him loose but a girl needed her lunch!

"Hello welcome to Versace" I said to two male customers who had just walked in. They both waved.

"Can I help you guys with anything?" I asked

The other guy walked away while other pointed to a shirt on a manikin.

"Can I have that?"

"Sorry those are only available in female sizes at this moment " I said

"Hmm okay, I'lltake one of those for my girl then" he said. I walked with him over to the shirts "what size?"

"Umm" he scratched his head "she's really like your size" he said

"Well I'm a small in shirts. You think that would do?"

"Yeah yeah" he said

"Well here you go sir" I handed the shirt to him. He licked his lips and smiled "what's your name?"

"My name ? It's Poet" I said.

"Thats an interesting name" he said

"Yeah my mom was going through a hippy phase when I was born" I laughed

"Hm thanks for the help" he said before leaving to the cashier.

It was finally time for my break so I went to the back room and got my purse. I called Dwayne.

"Hello?" He yawned

"??? Are you still sleep?" I asked

"Nah I'm on my way to get your lunch"

"You were been suppose to be on your way ! You know what Fuck it I'll buy my own lunch" I said hanging up. I went to the parking garage and got in my car which I was avoiding. All the restaurants around were bad for my diet but I guess I had to eat something. There was a Mexican restaurant that I usually went to but the last time it went bad on my stomach so I just went to pollo tropical.

I sat and ate my lunch and then I was on my way back to work for the remaining 2 hours. Dwayne was blowing up my phone but I was irritated with him so he wasn't getting an answer.

After work I couldn't wait get home to my precious baby. Like always Jerome was babysitting her if it wasn't Sydney. I thank God for my Dad, Jerome, and Sydney.

I as I pulled up to my house , I saw Dwayne's car in my parking space. Jerome & my dad always parked inside the garage while I parked outside.

I hope he doesn't think I'm going to pay him any attention.

I Parked beside Dwayne and got out. When I got inside, I could hear my daughter fussing like always. She fusses at everyone like she even knows what she's talking about. She's such a little spoiled diva that can barely walk without falling.

I took off my shoes and crept upstairs to my room. I sat my shoes down and went into J's room where him & Dwayne were playing his game. Now I see why Violet was fussing.

I leaned on the door and watched until they noticed me.

"Shit ! You scared the fuck out of me" Jerome said

"Mmh why is my baby fussing?" I asked

"I don't know who she think she's talking to" Jerome said turning to Violet in her face. She flapping her hands against his face. She had her pacifier in . J

I grabbed her and gave her a kiss. I walked out of the room and went back into my room with Violet on my hip.

I locked the door and begin to undress Violet and I both. We took a shower together, she just hated when the shower touched her head. After I got us both dressed and comfy for bed. Violet went to sleep on me so I was up bored.

Times like this I wished I had a boyfriend or even some friends but after my past experiences with both I was good. There was a knock at my door and then Dwayne peeped in. I rolled my eyes.

"Meet me in my car" he said before closing the door back.

I wasn't gonna go at first but I was bored and curious. I waited 30 minutes before taking Violet to my Dads room. He was sitting up watching tv as usual around this time.

"Dad can you watch her really quick?" I asked

"Where you about to go?" He asked

"To meet up with a friend but if she wakes up I'll come straight home" I said

"Well alright but it's late so be safe out there and sit her right here"

I sat her between my Dad and Sydney who was sleeping.

"Thanks daddy" I said kissing his cheek and then leaving out of his room.

I sometimes felt bad leaving her home when I went out to places that weren't work. I just felt like she was my responsibility & not anyone else's. I went downstairs and outside with only my phone and house keys in my pjs and slippers.

He was sitting sitting in the drive way on his phone. I opened the door and got in. He looked at me and smirked.

"Damn you took long enough" he said

"So wassup?" I asked

"I just wanted to see you" he said starting the car.

"Unt unt where you goin?" I asked

"Chill just to drive around" he said backing out "why you been acting so funny lately?" He asked

I shrugged my shoulders and crossed my arms.

"Don't act like that" he said

"Idk because you" I said

"What about me?"

I wanted to tell him but I didn't wanna be blunt so I didn't say anything.

"See you can't even tell me. Idk what you acting up for. . . Im good to you"

"You crossed over our set boundaries" i said

"What? You think I'm catching feelings for you?" He asked like he baffled

"Are you?" I asked

He paused and sat quite as he drove ".... I don't kno- I mean of course I have feelings for you P"

I sighed and sat back "okay"

"Something wrong with that?"

"Yes & no, I just thought you were the player type & I thought we just have fun without the strings attached" I said

"Damn so what's wrong with the strings attached?" He parked the car.

"Because for one you're a player & for two my brother will kill us if he finds out"

"He already knows"

"You told him?" I asked

"I didn't have to and you always painting me out to be the bad guy?" He said as he grabbed my hand.

"You seem like it" I said

"I can't be if I'm 'catching feelings" he said sarcastically "what made you bring all this up?"

"Because you've been acting like I'm your girl and I needed to put you in place. Im not your girlfriend" i stated .

He chuckled "okay you right but Lemme ask you this"

"Go ahead" i said

"Will you be my girlfriend"

I froze . . .
