Mission Fail

Emily shouted in the speaker as a helicopter flew in the air as it was several miles away from the van keeping distance. Some other normal cars drove near the van trying not to draw attention to whoever was driving the van.

Lee was in the van with a knife held next to his throat as they covered his mouth and tied his hands.

"What exactly did the boss want us to do when we get there?"

"Orders were not to kill him yet but slowly and painfully."

Lee was panicking some but had faith in Emily and remembered Mia's pleads to be safe. So he cooperated with them as he didn't struggle against the restraints or anything. He just sat in the van waiting to get to wherever the base was. The speaker in his ear spoke softly as no one else heard it but him.

"Are you okay?" A voice quietly asked. "I know you can't physically answer but we will be able to detect your body movement so shake your head or nod in response."

Lee nodded as he made it look like he was looking down. The car smelled of smoke and alcohol. A motorcycle passed them and he recognised the socks that the rider was wearing. It was constellation high socks.
He sighed in relief as Mia had just drove past the van wearing a full motorcycle helmet so they wouldn't notice her. She slowed down and leaned over to the side as she put a tracker and a smoke bomb under where the back tire was. She drove off to somewhere else as she signalled a hand motion to the helicopter.

"Tracker is on the van. Smoke bomb is attached to throw them off if anything happens." An agent spoke through the speaker.

"Van is taking a left on the interstate, Agent Grant checked the traffic cams and there's a hidden police car in the trees near the interstate. The van is above the speed limit so keep your eyes open." Emily spoke. "Mia, the readings on Lee's body movements is okay, he's only tied up, no cuts or anything."

"Okay, God I hope this works."

The van sped onto the interstate and the members in the van all heard the police siren.

"You want me to shoot them Kevin?" One man asked.

"Shoot away."

Lee closed his eyes quickly as he heard gun shots. One of the guys shot a bullet in the sky.

"The agents are secretly following us."

"Oh yes I am very aware of that." The man Kevin spoke.

The driver fixed the mirror as he looked directly at Lee in the eye.
"We aren't stupid, we know your girlfriend and Agent Emily Dane and her agency is trying to catch us. We came prepared."

Lee heard talking in the small speaker but again no one else heard but him.

"They know we planned this." Emily said. "Shit-Mia, this might not work-"

"WHAT?!"

Lee panicked some as a gun was placed next to his head.

"We aren't going to our base-we are going somewhere, else."

There was a giant explosion and Lee looked behind him as a bomb went off on the road behind them. A blindfold was put on him as well as a cloth gag. His heard was pounding as he feared Emily's words.

"This might not work-"

A motorcycle engine was heard loudly as Mia used the motorcycle to jump over the border of the one way interstate to where the van was. The motorcycle landed right side up as she rode near where the van door was. She put something on it and the van door opened. She saw Lee and the members in there.
