Emily dropped her mouth open as Mia said this.

"You're kidding right? Lee, the guy you love. Lee Grinner Pace? You saved his life and found him when he went missing and always looked after him." Emily said.

"I don't remember any of that." Mia said confused. "Can I meet this so called Lee?"

Emily sighed heavily as she turned around. "Yeah, maybe if you see him then you're memories will come back."

Emily walked to Lee's room dreading his reaction when he learns Mia doesn't remember him. Tom was talking to him when she walked in.

"Lee, I need to talk to you but please calm down when I say this." Emily said as she tried getting the words out her mouth. "Mia-well when Mia got shot, she hit her head and I asked her if she wanted to see you and she asked me who's Lee. She doesn't remember you-"

Lee remained quiet as tears came out his eyes. "How can I love her if she doesn't even remember me?!! This is all my fault."

"Lee don't say that-" Tom said before Lee cut him off quickly.

"It is! If she would've never met me then you all wouldn't have been dragged into my problems. Mia should've left me in the warehouse where was held when I was kidnapped and raped! She should've just stayed home and never looked for me! She should've never let me stay with y'all and left me alone in my house. She shouldn't have never dropped her groceries on that day and helped me when being harassed!" Lee said as he was sobbing tears. "God I hate myself so much!! Why me? Why does she not remember me?! I can't do this anymore. I love her more Han anything but she doesn't remember me let alone knows she loved me, and she may not even love me if she learns about me. I can't live without her"

A figure was standing outside of his room listening. Tom saw the figure as he slowly tapped Lee on the shoulder. They looked at the figure as it slowly walked in the room.

"Mia-" Lee said under his breath, choking out her name.

She was in a hospital gown and had an IV connected to her as she walked around with the rack. She slowly made her way to Lee as she pulled up a small chair and sat next to his bed. At this point now Lee couldn't stop crying as he was sober in silence. Mia used her thumb to wipe away his tears as she gently smiled at him. Lee at this point was breathing shakily as he was close to hyperventilation.

"Hey," She said softly.

She grabbed someone from behind her and pulled out some snacks. A small baggie of chocolate cookies, some chewie gummies, some trail mix with candy in it, and a juice box. They were in a small tray arranged neatly. Lee opened his mouth to speak but no dialogue came out.

"It's okay if you don't know what to say. I know you are scared about my wellbeing and health currently, and how I don't remember you." Mia spoke with softness in her voice. "But everything will be alright. I may slowly regain my memories as I remember how we met, it doesn't mean I don't remember my feelings towards you. I love you, always will no matter what, not even memory loss can get in the way of love."

Mia held Lee's hand as she took off the restraints from the hospital bed.

"You, you said you remembered how we met." Lee said looking in her eyes. "Could you tell me? Please."

Mia nodded as she layed next to him in the bed, Lee's head leaning on her shoulder as she rubbed his shoulder and combed her fingers through his hair.

"You know how I remember it?" She smiled. "It all started with a bag of groceries, my simple groceries and you in the alleyway." Mia said.

All night they talked and Mia regained her memories by just being with Lee. Nurses and Dr's claimed it to be a miracle. A miracle of love almost. Even after years passed and it was the day of their wedding, their vows included the saying.

"It all started with a bag of groceries." Lee smiled as he wore a white suit and a black dress shirt while Mia wore a black and white dress.

They didn't go on a honeymoon, as all married couples do. They did not make love either, as Lee was simply scared and worried but Mia was alright with it. The night when the wedding was finished they went to the movies and went shopping for cute husband and wife accessories. They got matching coffee mugs and shirts as well as cellphone cases. After a while they did make love, but ironically it was the way Tom joked about years before.

If you don't get it then look up pegging, and I am absolutely laughing writing this at the moment as I am having dinner with my family.
(My friend payed me a quid and a pound to say that lololol)

Eventually they started a family. They had two sons and two daughters. The eldest, who was a son, was 19 as his younger brother was younger than him by 2 years as the daughters were twins. The twin sisters were identical and 10 years old. Even when their kids grew up, Lee and Mia never stopped loving one another. Every day and the days following, they showed their love more than they did previously. But as everyone soon learned of their relationship, it's always the headliner on the newspaper.

"It all started with a bag of groceries" ~Lee quotes in an interview after Mia and him were married.
