VICIOUS CAN END LIVES (continuation)

"Miss Minor? Oh my god! I am so sorry. I swear to god, I didn't mean to hit you. I was off guard and I did not expect you to drag me. Please please please please forgive me. I do not want to lose this wonderful opportunity. This means everything and I have the utmost respect for you. I did not mean to hurt you and I was actually thinking of worshiping and praising your-"

 "It's okay, it is totally okay. Don't worry. I dragged you because I did not want you to be seen under the camera. Oh, and by the way, let's get in quick. The paparazzi are going to swarm us in no time." She cut me in a breathless tone. she still held my wrist firmly with one hand and walked me inside quickly like I was a little kid and used the other hand to rub her cheek bone which I just punched. So much for a cinematic entry.

 I was a bit confused.  Isn't the entry in the front? I thought to myself. I immediately asked her, "Why are we heading back? aren't we supposed to enter from the front?" "We are using a secret entry. You must realize that this is very confidential. At any cost this must not be leaked. Do you understand that?" She asked. "Yes-yes. I do. I swear on my life, I will not leak it unless you want me to." I replied. She nodded as we finally reached  behind the building after a long walk. It was completely dark and very cold, but I liked it. I couldn't really see a single thing. "Open the door. I am back. It's me. Kelly." Miss Minor half yelled. I heard the gentle sound of the narrow door creaking as it opened. Inside, there were nothing but stairs. Just white stairs and bright light illuminating the stairs making them super white. Kelly did not leave her firm grip around my hand. She continued to fast walk up  the stairs. It was just a plain staircase until the second floor. The end of the staircase directly led to a huge big metal door. Kelly just stood in front of the door and it automatically opened. 

Damn I thought. another translucent glass door appeared in front of us. It looked like a huge meeting room with a main table and chairs surrounding it. When she opened the door, I was right. But it looked so posh and classy. Well, it's NASA after all. "please have a seat, Miss LeBlanc." Kelly said kindly. I sat in one of the meeting chairs and I swore to god, it was one of the best chairs I sat in in my life. Before I got far too absorbed in the comfort of the chair, Kelly sat in the chair opposite of mine and said, "So, I will be brief. You will come to know more about when we officially begin. But first, you need to sign few papers. And do read em thoroughly. Take all the time you want." She handed me the papers and a pen. I started to scan the papers and it was mostly  about the terms and conditions and the policies. I was okay with all of them. But the last sentence caught my eye. It said, 'WARNING: THIS PROJECT CONTAINS BLOOD, UNNATURAL/SUPERNATURAL, HIGHLY MODIFIED GADGETS, ETC.' How bad can it be? I thought to myself. Little did I know about the things that were going to come in my way. With confidence running high in my body, I clicked the tip of the heavy silver coated pen and signed the papers. "I did a little research about you myself. It says that you've been trained by the FBI for two years and worked with them to catch a culprit regarding some business scam. I was quite impressed with that and also, you are a U.S citizen who possesses a masters degree in STEM. I've also seen your projects and the way you always ask me to keep you updated about any projects or work, I felt like this is the exact project for you. Since you signed the papers, you are officially a part of this project. Now, let's go straight into it. Miss LeBlanc, please come over here." Kelly said as she pointed over a huge box kind of thing that was placed in the corner of the room. 

I did not notice it at all even though it was very huge. Maybe it was because of the colour. The walls were perfect white and so was the big box. The room was really very huge a for a person like me who had tall legs, it  was still time taking to walk across the room. It gave me a great sense of discomfort to get out of that life changing comfortable chair but the curiosity got the better of me. I wanted to know what could be there in that huge box covered with white cloth.

 As I reached across the room, Kelly put her left hand on my shoulder and gave me that brace yourself  look which was a bit weird. After one minute of being silently encountered by Kelly, She finally placed her hand on the silky cloth and started to slip it off the box very slowly. I was a bit annoyed by her slowness. It was like how they drag they show in the movies with a lot of pre climax scenes but never get to the the point. She dragged the cloth so slow that I was so close to yelling remove the damn thing already  but before anything I could say, she removed the cloth all at once showing me what was there underneath the glass box. I was shocked to see what was beneath it. I did not expect to see something like that. I furrowed my eyebrows a bit and looked at kelly as she gave me the told you so expression. Why the hell is something like that here? was all I could think of.
