"Fe. Iron is all we need. But, you know, we would've found the iron resources long back ago. We need iron in a special form. You are smart. Can you guess?" It questioned. I knew what it wanted. Blood. It wanted blood. Hemoglobin was it's special form of Iron. "But why human blood? Animals got blood too, right?" I asked.
"Human blood is warm blood. But not the same with animals. So let me tell you about what's going to happen. We don't need much blood. Just five drops of your blood. Only five drops." It clarified it for me. So was this all? I had to ask it "So you're going to take five drops of blood and it's over? No more secret visits and hair rising warnings and the burden on me?"
"Yes. You have our promise. You'll never see us again." It promised.
"Okay, take it. Take my blood. Finish this." I said without a second thought.
"Drink this water. It will make you insensate." It said as it handed me a glass of water. I took it just like that without thinking because I couldn't. And I didn't want to. I just wanted to believe that I was going to get rid of this fear. I drank the water with the hope that this nightmare was going to end. I felt relieved and relaxed and slowly everything was going out of sight. I felt like I was drowning into a pool of pleasure and bliss. No worries. Only beauty. Beauty of not having to care about anything. And like that, I blacked out.
I woke up with the sun slapping my face. I felt slight pain near my temples. And then, when I looked around, I was sitting on my bed. Next to me was George, with tears oozing from his eyes. So was this a dream or reality? And then, I looked at my temples and I saw a nasty mark. So that's where it took my blood from. I smiled. And then, I started to laugh because I was happy. I laughed as tears came out of my eyes. George just looked at me like was out of my mind. I wasn't. I was just relieved and on cloud nine. And after that I never saw them again until now. So you're question might be, then how the hell did you find the damn skeleton? Isn't the skeleton the alien?
