It was the first day of middle school for me and my very clingy mom was all over me being careful and not to get into any drugs and to make sure I bring a change a clothes for gym class. My brother, Noel has light brown hair as well as his eyes. His quite fit and was very popular in middle school. He's now heading into grade 10. Is the oldest of our family. My sister is two and her name is Layla. She has blonde hair and green eyes. Then there's my dad who loves my mom and loves our family. Sometimes people say we are the perfect family.
"Are you sure you have everything?" My mom asked me for the 100th time.
"Yeah mom, I'm sure," my mom smiled and grabbed my shoulder and got on her knees.
"I'm so proud of you honey," she smiled wider.
My brother walks into the room and frowns.
"You look like you are still in elementary kid," he punches me lightly.
"Well at least I'm not dressing up like I am in a bike gang," I laugh as my mom turns around and opens her mouth in surprise.
"Go change now Noel," I snicker and he turns around and goes out of my room.
"Okay, let's go," my mom says standing back up and dusting off her pants
I grab my book bag and head downstairs and wait at the end of the stairs, my mom goes into my sister's room and picks her up and brings her downstairs whilst my brother as cranky as a bear stomps down the stairs.
"You get your sister into the car I'm going to get your father to drive us," she hands me Layla who is giggling and playing with her feet.
"Hi Layla, what are you doing?" I say in my baby voice as she laughs.
I head out to the car and Noel follows me. Once I get to the car, I put Layla in her seat and buckle her in. My brother hops in the front seat.
"Uhhhh no," I say as he's about to shut the door.
"What?" he says as he tries to shut it but I hold open the door.
"I'm sitting up front today, it's my first day of middle school so I should sit in the front," I say proudly as I hold open the door.
"I thinks it's best if you sit in the back kiddo," he clicks his tongue.
My mom comes out.
"You both are sitting in the back because I'm coming with you!" She says excited. We both sigh as we both get into the back and my mom sits in the front. My dad, who has brown hair and green eyes comes out of the door.
"Who's ready to rock the school year?!" He yells. Noel and I both groan and he laughs.
