The Deal & a Bucketlist

Chapter 5

We get to the beach and I am wearing my blue bikini again I look around for Brandon and see him waving he is holding two surf boards one slightly smaller than the other, considering I am 5ft 5in and he is 6ft 1in. I run over to him letting my newly dyed hair fly in the wind.

“Are you sure you are up for this Rye” He asks.

“Of course I am now teach me what you usually teach your clients” I say,  he then leads me to a clear part of the beach and lies down the two surf boards. He teaches me how to paddle and pop up only on the sand he also teaches me the ‘Surf Code’ which is basically don’t swoop in on someone’s wave and stuff like that. When we reach the ocean I can feel the cold water tickle my feet and legs as we get deeper. Brandon tells me what to do and I lie on the surfboard.

“Now get ready to pop up ok” I nod as a huge wave approaches. I pop up just in time and catch the wave.

“Oh my gosh I did it I did it Brandon did you see that” I yell with excitement.

“Yeah I saw it good job Rye now try get this one” He yells back from a few metres away from me. I repeat the steps. But I am too late and I slip off the surfboard and shooting pain goes up my leg.

“Brandon Help” I shouted but my noises are drowned out by the ocean I wave my hands around. I feel someone strong pick me up but darkness overtakes me.

I wake up feeling a pain in my leg,  I look around and realise I am in a hospital room. I look to the chair next to me to see that Brandon is sitting there sleeping my brother is awake reading a magazine.

"Hey Matt" I say my voice croaky.

"Don't hey Matt me you should have been more careful" he scolds and my eyes get watery he has never yelled at me like that before.

"I'm sorry I snapped I am just really worried and stressed out you know penny is having twins in four months in October and I am stressing out I have to do so many things"he says in a small voice feeling bad for yelling.

"Hey Riley are you okay they said you sprained your knee and  your ankle but it will only be 2 weeks rest at the most"

He says reassuring.

"Oh Morning guys how is she doing... oh she is awake great so I am your doctor Cathie Kale , miss Jenner I am going to ask you a few questions answer them honestly okay" Dr Cathie says, her voice sounds soothing.

"How is the pain"

"My ankle is just an ache but my knee is hurting quite a lot I feel like someone is repetitively kicking me in the knee" I answer.

"Ok so take some of these pills know they will lessen the pain and you can be released in an hour but you will have to have those cruches for 2 weeks" she points to some crutches and hands me two pills I take them with a glass of water. An hour passes quickly and soon enough I am out of hospital and lying on my bed reading a magazine. I soon fall asleep.

I wake up feeling the pain in my leg and hop to the shower and go shower I then get dressed in some black shorts and a red crop top and head downstairs using my crouchs. I see penny dancing in the kitchen making pancakes to an upbeat song.

'Hey penny nice moves" i say making her turn around and blush.

"Oh didn't see you there I'm making blueberry pancakes because I woke up craving them and how's your leg sweetie" she says,

"Oh it's fine can I have some pancakes though" I ask

"Sure here you are and by the way you will be home alone today because me and Matt are taking mike and aria to there school fair Unless you want to tag along" she explains and puts some pancakes on my plate.

"Nah I'm good" I say and it the pancakes they are so good. But soon enough I am left alone. Today I am going to complete something off my bucketlist. I hop over to my desk and look at it.

I am going to make a YouTube channel. I grab my laptop, guitar and my mum's Nikon camera she gave me. I turn on my computer and go straight to YouTube and make an account I decide to call it. 'Singing Rye' I then set up the camera on a tripod and position it so I'm sitting infront of the window. I practice the song for a little while.

"Hello I'm Riley and this is Kiss me by Ed sheeran Enjoy" I speak to the camera.

"Settle down with me

We're falling in love" I sing I turn off my camera and take the memory card out put it in my MacBook. I go to I movie and do a little bit of editing magic then go to YouTube I hesitate to press the upload button.

3 days later

It has been 3 days since I posted that video and I now have 500 likes and 15 subscribers I am so happy I actually cried when I git my first 100 like the response was crazy and apparently half the school has seen it. I am so happy it's ridiculous today I am filming another video a cover of Bad blood by Taylor swift.
