The Deal & a Bucketlist

Chapter 3

After the final bell rang I ran out of class to go meet up with my newly made friends Becca, Hanna, Adam and Brandon of course.
“Hey guys we should go to the beach tonight” Becca suggests.
“Yea we should, we can all meet at my house at four” I say
“Sounds like a plan text us the details.” Brandon says.
We all walk our separate ways in my case to my car and drive home in silence, as I pull up outside my new home I see another car parked in the driveway so I park out the front. I get of the car and knock on the door. Matt answers it with a big smile on his face.

“Hey Riley, how was school” He asks.
“It was good I’m actually meeting some new friends at the beach” I answer.
“Well that’s good I actually have some other good news but first I would like you to meet Penny” He introduces. I see a pretty looking lady standing there with short blond hair wearing a loose t-shirt
“Hi I’m Riley I met you ages ago it’s nice to meet you again so what’s the good news” I ask.
“Well there are two things don’t worry they are both good Matt you can tell her” Penny reassures me.
“Okay so… We are engaged and well Penny is pregnant.” He says pretty happy with himself I should have noticed the baby bump which was sightly visible even though she was wearing a baggy shirt.
“Omg I’m going to be an aunt congrats on the engagement but I have to go get ready for the beach” I say and rush upstairs. I put a blue bikini on and a summer dress over the top. By the time I finish there is a knock on the, but mike got to the door before I could get down all the stairs.

“Riley! Your boyfriend is here” He teases me.
“He’s not my boyfriend I have barely known him for two days “ I explain and push Mike out of the way once I make my exit out of the house I slam the door in Mikes face.
“So who is that?” Brandon asks.
“ Oh well I have two younger siblings Aria and Mike who are twins they were adopted at a very young age by my mum and I have an older brother Matt who is 24” I say and we make our way to the beach. I saw Becca, Hanna and Adam sunbaking.
“What took you so long” Hanna asks.
“Well before I got ready my brother dropped a bombshell. He and his girlfriend are engaged and Penny his girlfriend is pregnant” I explain.
“Wow” Is all Hanna said. I then lay my towel down, take off my summer dress and apply sunscreen and lie down in the sun with the girls in my bikini while the boy are in the water surfing. While me and the girls are talking about TV shows I feel something cold touch my back I then feel someone pick me up while he trying to I am screaming for the girls to help but all they did was laugh and when look up I see Brandon looking down at me with his wet hair dripping on my forehead.

“Put me down now Brandon!” I shout trying to intimidate him which clearly doesn’t work. I then noticed he was walking near the sea. He puts me down when we are in the water. I turn around and walk off with my arms crossed trying to look mad but he just follows me.
“Hey I’m sorry how I can make it up to you” He says. I think for a moment then come up with an idea.
“Let’s play a game of truth and dare with everyone” he agrees and we walk back to the beach spot.
“Okay guys we are going to plat truth or Dare “I announce and everyone gets in a circle.
“Ok Truth or dare Brandon” I ask
“Dare”
“Ok I dare you to go up to that lady and asks if she can pop a pimple for you once she gives an answer you have to run” I say with a smirk on my face. He goes up to the lady and asks her the question he gets given a confused look then he runs back. So keep going with the game for half an hour.
“Okay this will be the last one because it’s getting late Truth or dare Brandon” Adam says
“Dare” this was Brandon’s answer every time.
“I dare you to Kiss Riley but you must hold it for ten seconds” Adam says.

What is this middle school and do I get a say in this I thought to myself. Brandon leans in and hesitates but his lips end up crashing onto mine I stay frozen but soon move my lips.
“Okay times up guys” Adam says, I pull away feeling my face getting redder. After we all went home. When I got in the house and went in the kitchen to see penny sipping on some tea.
“Penny why are you still here are you staying the night not to be rude” I ask.
“Oh I forgot to mention that I have moved in here” she says. I’m actually happy even though I have met penny only once before she is really nice. And I think Matt told me she moved in anyway
“Cool um... just wondering how far along are you with the pregnancy?” I ask
“Um... four months sorry we didn’t tell you until now and we got engaged just before I found out” She says.
“I haven’t told matt because he was unable attend the ultrasound but I’m Having twins One girl One Boy” Penny Whispers excitedly.
“Wow congrats again when you are going to tell him” I ask.
“Tomorrow he is taking me on a date and I will tell him then” she answers. I make some 2 minute noodles and continue to talk to penny I go to bed at around eleven.

2 weeks later.

I am putting my books into my bag from my locker and see Brandon rush up to me.
“Hey um.., can I talk to you” He asks unsure.
“Okay do you want to talk somewhere more private” I ask and he nods we go to the back of the school.
“so I made this bet with a guy” he says
“go on”
“he said I couldn’t get you to be my girlfriend so we made a bet and if I lost  he would spread rumours about me that I won't mention now. I would I like to add I was slightly intoxicated when I made this so would you be my fake girlfriend for the month I will give you those surfing lessons you asked for last week”
“please?”
