It had been two days since Hoseok had last seen Jihoon, and he was ready to start swinging at fate and everything that intertwined with it.
Mingi hadn't offered much help either. There wasn't much to Choi Jihoon, not anything concrete that he could find. As much as Mingi hated disappointing Hoseok, he knew that disappointment was all Hoseok would get for now.
"It's as if Choi Jihoon appeared from thin air," Mingi reported. Hoseok's jaw clenched. He cocked an eyebrow, tapping his foot impatiently. "I've searched up as much as I'm allowed. Choi Jihoon does not appear in any system. The known information comes from a few days ago, around the time that Lenocinium opened to the public."
"So, you're not completely useless." Hoseok mused, crossing his arms. "And you're positive that Choi Jihoon isn't in any records?"
"No birth certificates, school records, dental, nothing," Mingi answered, handing Hoseok a file. "This is everything on him so far. I will be reaching out to other places to see if I can find information about this Jihoon. I would strongly advise you not to socialize with him. If this turns out to be a fake identity, you could be in more trouble than you know."
That sounded plausible. However, Hoseok was a man without reason when it came to conquests. He would do anything and everything to capture the interest of the one that captured his. Unfortunately, Choi Jihoon was going to be his latest target. If Choi Jihoon was fake, then Hoseok could be in more trouble than it is worth. But something about Choi Jihoon had piqued Hoseok's curiosity. The curiosity wouldn't quench until Jihoon's heart, and body belonged to him.
"If Choi Jihoon, is in fact, another person, what harm can that person truly do?" Hoseok smirked. "It seems to me that to impersonate someone else means you're running away from something. I want you to find out what he's running away from. You can do that, right?"
Mingi would be lying if he said the look on Hoseok's face didn't terrify. Still, he nodded meekly, adjusting his glasses before bowing at him.
"Yes, sir."

"You're taking your sweet time with Hoseok, Yoongi."
Yoongi only smirked lazily at Taehyung's statement. It had been nearly a week now since he'd last seen Hoseok, making sure to stay out of his eyesight at all costs. That didn't mean that Yoongi wasn't keeping his eyes trained on Hoseok.
"I was given a month to get that twig of a man to fall in love with me before I kill him." Yoongi breezed. "Considering he hired a private investigator to find my whereabouts, I'd say I'm doing a wondrous job. Just because you've already gotten Seokjin to take you out on countless dates, doesn't mean anything."
Taehyung smirked. "Please. As soon as I defied that man, I knew he'd be wrapped around my finger. He's such a gentleman, though he doesn't like it when you try to undermine his orders. I haven't had this much fun with a target in a long time. Even let him top me."
"Careful Taehyung," Yoongi hummed. "Wouldn't want you falling for that man. You're supposed to kill him, remember?"
"I'd say the same thing to you." Taehyung retorted, chuckling slightly. "Don't think I haven't caught you stalking him any chance you get. And don't start with the research purposes bullshit. You've never done this extensive research on anyone."
Yoongi only shrugged at the statement. There wasn't any fault with it. It was true. The amount of stalking he had done for past missions didn't compare to the amount of stalking he had done for Hoseok. In his defense, Hoseok was interesting. That was the only excuse Yoongi could muster. Hoseok was intriguing, to say the least, and Yoongi found himself wanting to know every aspect from Hoseok— wanting to go farther than just what the file gave him.
