"Like that, but closer."

Yoongi smirk widened at Rose's request as his hands found themselves caressing her thigh. With a wink, he hoisted her leg up, Rose's breath hitching in surprise. He leaned towards her, his breath fanning her ear as he leaned closer.

"That better, sweetheart?" Yoongi murmured. Rose gulped and nodded, feeling slight disarray at how rough Yoongi— Jihoon had grabbed her. Jihoon seemed unfazed, dipping her sensually while leaning her back, eliciting gasps from the crowd. He leaned in time with her, making sure that his expression was ridden with emotion and renewed interest.

"Jihoon, you don't dance like this at a business event," Rose whisper-yelled, though she didn't mind the attention.

Yoongi only chuckled, pulling her back up swiftly. Their shoulders move in sync as Yoongi led Rose through the dance floor, making sure that faces were never more than a few centimeters apart. He needed to give off the vision, the mirage that Rose and he had chemistry, chemistry that would threaten Hoseok's position in Yoongi's heart.

Not Jung Hoseok had any hold over Yoongi, to begin with.

"Just like that, sweetheart," Yoongi encouraged, dropping his voice to a low, sultry tone. Rose nodded, feeling stunned at Yoongi's change in dynamic. His eyes razor-focused on her as he spun her, hooded with masked desire and longing. For a second, she found herself falling for his charm, quickly snapping out of it as she remembered the reason why they were paired together in the first place.

"Do you know if he's looking?" Rose asked, almost anxiously as she tried to look back in Hoseok's direction. Yoongi tsked under his breath, his fingers lightly locking on her jaw.

"Don't pay attention to him," his voice was soft, commanding. "Hoseok wants you to look back. Don't worry about him. It's you and me right now, Rose. You and me."

Yoongi's words sounded so soothing, so reassuring, and his affectionate expression only lulled Rose into security. Rose had to admit, Jooyoung hadn't been messing around when she chose Yoongi to carry out her request. They had only been in. each other's vicinity for a few moments, and if Rose hadn't known who Yoongi was and what he came to do, she would have fallen head over heels for him.

Even now, it was hard to control herself as Yoongi expertly flustered her every few seconds, portraying himself to be someone that sought her attention, acting like someone who was invested in everything she had to offer. So careful, so gentle while still holding the rugged dagger of mystery, leaving those unknown to him enthralled by his compelling presence.

"You're good at your job," Rose breathed, feeling her heart do another twirl at Yoongi's sudden smile.

"If I weren't good at my job, I would be dead," Yoongi murmured, tucking Rose's hair behind her ear. "My life is on the line every time I take a task like this. If I fail, you never see me again. It's the way your father wanted it to be."

"Sometimes I forget that it was my father who created your job," she whispered. Yoongi chuckled.

"What better way to get rid of businessmen with too much governmental power than through the art of seduction?" he answered in response, humming slightly. "I know your father didn't let you request for Jung Hoseok to die just because he broke your heart. He, along with his other friends, hold too much power because of their wealth. Your daddy doesn't like that."

Rose pressed her lips together. "He wouldn't do that. My father just wants me to be happy. Why would he have an ulterior motive?"

"For someone deep in political life, you sure know nothing of how the world works," Yoongi chuckled, shaking his head at Rose's apparent naivety. "Your father must love you. It's the only way I can fathom you knowing nothing of your father's position."
