'Finally made it,' You stretched your back. Not being used to using your wings, flying up to the tree was a bit of a challenge.
"Wow. I knew you were slow, but this takes the cake," The familiar voice reached your ears, making you laugh.
"Not my fault. My job doesn't require me to fly all day," You walked over to were Gerheade was floating.
She placed one hand on her hip and raised an eyebrow. "It still shouldn't take that long to fly up the tree," She joked.
"What can I say, I'm pretty lazy," You admitted, not like she didn't already know that. "Anyway, why did the Great and Powerful Gerheade summon me for?"
She rolled her eyes half-heartedly before replying. "I wanted you to join this... for lack of better word, union with me."
"And wants this 'union' for?" You questioned, leaning foreward.
"It's called Stigma and it's to help defend and attack the demon race," Gerheade explained, hesitating with her words.
"Nope. No way," You declined her offer.
"Please? I don't want to be the only one joining..." She mumbled something under her breathe that you couldn't quite catch.
"I don't want to get caught up with this war. It's just meaningless bloodshed that could've all been avoided, like every other war," You elaborated.
"I know. I know. Buuuuut," She drawled out the word. "Gloxinia is joining?"
You felt the tips of your ears go pink. "T-Then you won't be so lonely."
"Pretty please?"
"The physical appearance of the 'please' means nothing to me," You bluntly said. ((If anyone can tell me where this is from, I'll shout them out next chapter))
"Hm, what if I have Gloxinia ask you instead?" She teased.
"No, no. Let's not bother the powerful Fairy King who could kill me with one flick of his finger," You nervously smiled. Sighing as loud as you could, you looked Gerheade in the eye. "Fine, I'll join. BUT I'm not fighting."
She ran (read: hovered) to you and locked you in a tight hug. "I wasn't expecting you to anyway," She let you go, but still held on to your shoulders. "I wanted to see if you could teach other Fairys to heal."
"Don't you have Goddesses on your side? Don't they excel in healing?" You pointed out.
"Yeah, but the Supreme Deity isn't supplying enough soldiers. She expects the other races to fight on her races behalf, so she only sent around fifty soldiers. That's not enough to heal everyone," Gerheade explained. "And you're the best healer I know!"
