Chapter 19

Evie's POV:

After my previous encounters with Pansy today it's basically set me up for failure, much like everything else Is leaning towards failure. I pushed my thoughts into the back of my mind and headed straight to my next class well I would have gone straight to class if something- namely someONE hadn't just bumped into me and nearly sent me flying.

Oh fuck. It's pansy.

"You know you've got some nerve midget." Her voice is laced with venom. She makes a black mambas venom sound pleasant.

"I beg your pardon" I smiled at her knowing it would piss her off more

"You. Your using Granger. While dating Draco!" Ok now I'm confused...

"...I- Come again?"

"You heard me LOUD AND CLEAR BITCH" Pansy resemblance of a tomato coloured pug becomes more apparent

"I did hear you clearly- not so much loud but your grasping at straws Parkinbitch" I pointed out to her

"No I'm not 'grasping at straws' you and Draco are alwaysss together or close to each other and your always with him or he's coming to get you from the Gryffindork common room- like are you that incompetent to walk to the Slytherin common room on your OWN?" Her tone becoming more aggressive as her rant continues. At this point I'm finding it hard to not burst out laughing at her- well until she brought up the Gryffindors.

The pug can roast me as much as she so well pleases but bring my Gryffindor friends and your going to flip a switch you didn't even realise I had

"Parkinson- Draco and I have been friends since we were born. Of course we're going to be close to each other because funnily enough we actually care about each other so we keep an eye out for each other hence why he walks me to the Slytherin common room considering the fact I have a group of 5th years who are out to get me and want me out of Slytherin. Before you continue having a go at me for this stupid theory you've created in your mind let's get one thing fucking clear" I take several steps closer to her, her pupils shrink, her eyebrows stitch together the wild look in her eyes and the increasing rate of her breathing showed me she was in fact scared of me. Go figure. "Don't and I repeat DONT bring the Gryffindors into this. Especially Hermione. I don't know how you got this idea in your twisted fucking mind but I am not using Hermione. I would never do that to her." She seemed dazed, zoned out

BARK

She soon snapped out of her daze when I barked at her

"..." I left her speechless

"Now fuck off before I punch you so hard your nose comes out of the back of your head- wouldn't want moldy voldy to be jealous now would we?" Her eyes widened after a moment of looking at me- she realised I wasn't kidding. She scampered away as I clenched my fist

I quickly realised what I had just said- it felt as though someone had possessed me on any other occasion I would have cowered in a corner and burst into tears. What set me off? Was it the Gryffindors? Was it her accusing me of using Hermione? Was it the adrenaline rush?
Whatever it was it had washed away from me and I felt severely drained from the encounter.

I put my head out of the bathroom door and when the coast was clear I hastily walked to Moaning Myrtle's toilet as we had gotten to know each other, I stayed in Myrtles bathroom for the rest of my classes. I had made friends? With the ghost you could say-

I truly felt bad for how I reacted today with Pansy- I don't truly hate her, she can be quite nice when she doesn't know I'm around, affectionate even- in a .strange. sort of way

Myrtle was quite happy to see me and we talked for the rest of the day, I didn't want to go back to the common room and see Draco, and I didn't want to go to the Gryffindor common room as i didn't know how or what to feel in that moment. So I decided to go and find Luna, we had talked a few times before and we got along well- she's a very nice girl and I enjoy hanging out with her.

I'd probably stay in the ravenclaw common room tonight. Yeah. That's a good idea
