My Personal Miracle

Chapter 2

-Danny's POV-

        Kellin and I are walking back to my house. Neither of us were saying anything, but it was a comfortable silence. I looked over at the girl walking next to me. She had her earbuds in her ears an was scrolling through her music. She chose 'Walls' by All Time Low. Good choice, I thought. I reached around her and took the speaker out of her left ear to put it in mine. She looked a me with a confused look on her face. I smiled really wide and she playfully rolled her eyes at me and looked ahead. Wow, she's beauiful.

*Flashback*
-Lunch Time-
        As we walked into the cafeteria, Kellin's mouth fell open. "There's a pizza bar?!" she exclaimed.
        "We have pizza on Mondays and Thursdays, tacos on Tuesdays, subs on Wednesdays, and pasta on Fridays. Then there's the normal school lunch food." I explained. Kellin had already begun walking to the A La Carte line, Paul and I followed. After we got our food, we went to a secluded area outside in the courtyard. Kellin took out her phone from her back pocket and played Panic! at the Disco as we ate.
*End Flashback*

I've been thinking about her all day. I can't get her out of my head. I've only just met her and I want her to be mine. "Hey, Kellin?" I began
"Yea?"
"Do you-" It started raining, HARD. We were soaked within a minute. We ran the remaining five minutes back to our houses.
"Shit." Kellin said worriedly
"What's wrong?"
"I left my key in my locker at school. Damnit! How stupid can I be?!"
"One, you're not stupid. Two, you can come over to my house. My mom won't mind and we can get dried off."
"Are you sure? I mean, I can wait until my mom gets home..."
"I'm positive. You don't need to get sick. What kind of neighbor and friend would I be if I left you outside? You're shivering. Come on." I took her hand in mine, led her into my house up the stairs and into my room. I rummaged through my drawers to find something for each me and Kellin to wear. I picked up two pairs of sweat pants. "Kellin, black or dark-grey?"
"Dark-grey is fine"
"'Kay." I tossed her the grey pants and a pair of boxers, too. Her underwear has to be soaked (not in that way) as well. She blushed when she caught them. Adorable. I went over to my closet to find us a couple hoodies. "Pierce the Veil, Panic! at the Disco, Fall Out Boy, or Blink182?" I asked, randomly selecting four bands.
"Uhmm, Fall Out Boy"
"Catch." I called as I threw her the hoodie. I chose to wear my Peirce the Veil hoodie. "Okay, I'll go to the bathroom to change, and you can change in here."
"Thanks, Danny" I smiled to her as I walked out of my room and shut the door.

-Kellin's POV-

        What the fuck just happened? Today has been crazy... I woke up late, collided with a guy on a skateboard-well, he crashed into me-, I had to stand up in front of the whole class 3 different times, embarassed myself in 7th period, but, I also made friends with a couple of great guys, ate Dominoes Pizza for lunch, and now I'm in Danny's house putting on his clothes. Best and Worst day ever... is that even a thing?
        *knock, knock* "You decent? Who cares, I'm coming in anyway." Danny came through his doorway with one hand over his eyes and a pizza box in the other. I walked over to the boy and uncovered his eyes, I also stole the pizza and went to sit on the bed. He joined me, laughing. "Do you want to watch a movie?"
        I nodded my head. "Sure. Why not?"
        "Okay. Movies are in the corner. You pick one and I'll throw your clothes in the dryer with mine." I nodded my head in thanks and got up to go to the movie pile. I decided on a Disney movie, and Danny had plenty of Disney movies to choose from. I picked out Lilo & Stitch 2, Mulan 2, and Wall-E. "Kellin, I'm back. What did you pick?" I held up the three movies.
        "Pick one."
        "Lilo & Stitch 2." I smiled and he took the movie from my hand to put it in the DVD player. He then went back to his bed and got situated under the covers. I sat down on the floor. "Kellin, you can come up here and watch the movie with me. The floor's going to get uncomfortable." I shrugged. "Please? You can cuddle with me?" He said with a smile. I picked myself up off the floor, got under the covers and layed in Danny's outstretched arms. I rested my head on his shoulder while he rested with his cheek against my temple. Danny started the movie and grabbed himself a slice of pizza. I sighed and breathed in the scent of him. He stilled smelled like rain. I melted. A few minutes later, I was asleep.

*Snap*
What the- I blinked sveral times so my eyes could adjust to the brightness of the room. In my sleep, I noticed, I had moved closer to Danny, layed my head on his chest, splayed my arm across his stomach, and entertwined my legs with his. One of Danny's arms is around my back while he rubs the sleep from his eyes with his other hand. "Mom?" He asked.
        "Hey sweetie. I came up here to tell you that I invited the new neighbors over for supper tonight. Helen and Martin are both coming straight from work. I was going to ask if you could go next door  and invite their daughter, she's your age, but if you're busy-"
        "No, Mom, this is her, Kellin Bostwick. We met this morning. We were rained on on our way home from school. She accidently forgot her key, so I invited her over to get dried off. We fell asleep while watching a movie to pass the time... Wait, did you take a picture?"
        "Yes" His mom said. "You two look so cute."
        "Mom!" Danny exclaimed. I blushed and hid my face in Danny's chest.
        "I'll leave the two of you alone." *Ding, Dong* "Oh! That will be Kellin's parents. Dinner will be in fifteen minutes." His mom left the room and closed the door behind her.
        *Buzz* Danny's phone vibrated. "It's a text from my mom. She wants meto look 'nice' for dinner. I look down at what I was currently wearing. Danny looked, too. "Let me get dressed and the I'll sneak downstairs to get our clothes from the dryer. They should be done by now. What do I wear?" I smiled and went to his closet. I chose a pair of black skinny jeans, a black Fall Out Boy tee-shirt, a dark-grey button-up shirt with red cuffs, a red tie, and black converse. I re-entered his room and threw the clothes ontop of him. "Thanks, Kellin." Danny looked at the clothes. "Good choices." He smiled. "I'll go to the bathroom to change, then I'll go get your clothes."
        "Thank you so much!"
        "It's no problem." I smiled. He left to go to the bathroom, so I sat down on his bed and waited. Five minutes later, he returned. "You may want to hurry, our parents are waiting."
        "Thanks, uhm, where's the bathroom?"
        "Down the hall and to the left."
        "Thanks, again. I'll be back in five minutes." Once I got to the bathroom, I pulled on my own underwear, my socks, black ripped skinny jeans, and my grey Blink182 tee. I also put my hair in a side-braid. I checked myself in the mirror, decided I looked okay, and returned to Danny's room.
        "You look Beautiful, but it's like something's missing." He walked to his closet and pulled out red and black plaid flannel. "Here, put this on." I shrugged on the shirt and left it unbuttoned. "Perfect. Now, let's go get food."
        "Sounds good to me. What are we having anyway?"
        "Lasagna."
        "Yum. I haven't had lasagna in forever." Danny just laughed and took my hand in his as we walked down the stairs. When we entered the dining room, all conversation ceased and all eyes fell on us, primarily our entertwined fingers.
        My dad began speaking first. "Kellin, why were you upstairs with this boy? Why are you holding hands and wearing his shirt? What have you been doing? I thought we raised you better than this. We are going to have a long talk when we get home. Now sit down and join us now that you have graced us with your presence."
