San, Diego
Kit
Joshua and I walk through security, all good. A sign in big letters spelling 'San Diego International Airport' place above an entryway, and entering the area where all the shops are.
"Can we go to see the stores?" I smile.
"Sure!" he chirps. "
Yay!" I cheer, and I go running over toward the stores, "Kit! I mean, Olivia! Wait up!" he laughs and catches up to me.
"Sorry, I'm just super excited! I have never flown on an airplane before!" I chuckle.
"Never? Well, that's cool!" he grins. A group of four girls looks over at Josh and me and whisper to each other.
"I think you've been spotted." I state.
"No, we've been spotted." he signs.
One of the girls from the group pulls out her phone, snaps a picture, and the other girls giggle.
"Okay, let's walk the other way." he declares as he takes my wrist and quickly pulls me over to a store filled with cute teddy bears and toys.
Oh. My. Goodness. Joshua Taylor Bassett is holding my hand. Joshua mother trucking Bassett is holding my hand! Well, not really holding hands, but like, sorta. I squeal in my head.
I take an adorable pink teddy bear with a red heart on its stomach, with 'San Diego' written inside the heart.
"This is so cute!" I bubbled.
"Do you want it?" he questions.
"Oh no, it's fine." I say, placing it back on the shelf.
"No, if you want it, I'll get it for you." he grins.
"No, no, you don't have to." I state.
"It's your first time ever going to an airport, and I'm guessing the first time coming to San Diego. You should get some merchandise." Joshua convinces.
"Alright, fine." I sigh, and he smiles. We walk over to the cash register, he pays for the teddy bear, and the worker places it in a bag.
We walk out of the store, "You really didn't have to do that." I say.
"I don't care, it's your first time and San Diego, and I want you to get a little souvenir." he smiles, and I nudge him with my shoulder.
I look over at the girls from before and back at Josh, "Thank you, though." I beam, taking the pick teddy bear out of the bag, and hugging it.
He laughs, "C'mon, let's grab a snack before we fly." he states, and I nod.
We start walking toward a food place, until the girls from before walk up to us, "Hi! Are you guys Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett?" the blonde girl asked.
"Yeah!" Joshua grinned. I go wide-eyed under the sunglasses, what do I do?!
"O.M.G., this is so cool!" the ponytail girl cheers.
"Can I have a hug?" the youngest one asked.
"Of course!" I smile, and she gives me a hug.
"Can we have a picture?" the redhead girl asks.
I look over at Joshua, and he smiles, "Sure thing!" I beam, and the redhead girl pulls out her phone and snaps a selfie. Joshua and I do a peace sign, and the other girls do the same.
"Have a wonderful day!" the blonde one grinned.
"You too!" I say, waving goodbye as they walked away.
"So, thats what it's like meeting fans?" I beam, looking back at Joshua, smiling.
"Yeah, I love it meeting fans! They are all super nice! But we have to keep moving on." he grins, I nod as we start walking over to the food section.

San Diego, California
Kit
Joshua and I walk toward our seats on the airplane in a straight line. "Over here." he says, pointing to our places.
I took the window seat, and Joshua takes an aisle seat. I'm glad the plane only had two-seats in a row, I didn't really want to sit next to, or near, a stranger. I look out the window to see airplanes taking off and flying into the sky.
"Smile! I'm texting this to Liv!" I chirp, as I snap a photo of Josh and me to send to Olivia.
I send it, 'On the plane right now!' I text. 'Amazing! Can't wait to see you both and get back to normal!' she answers back. 'Indeed!' I reply.
The flight attendant begins saying the instructions for an emergency. I listened in carefully, remembering every word the woman said.
"Enjoy your flight!" the flight attendant chirped.
I turn to Joshua, "I'm scared!" I worried.
"No need to worry. If you need anything, just tell me." he smiled, and I suddenly fell a wave of comfort.
The plane starts to move, and I look out the window. The airplane begins to take off, and I squeal in fright.
I hug Joshua's arm in fear, "It's okay, don't worry." he grinned.
Then after I even know it, we are in the air, soaring over San Diego. Joshua and I look out the window, the city standing tall as we fly above. I felt like the tallest girl in the world, the queen of San Diego!
I laugh, "See, nothing to worry about." Joshua grins, and I smile.
"Is it okay if I use Olivia's phone?" I ask.
"Yeah, I guess it's fine." he answers.
"I'm gonna see if I can take a nap." he states.
"Okay!" I reply. I look out the window again, and I smile.
This. Is. Awesome!
