Omniscient.
Draya trailed her uncle's car home. And when they arrived, his driver got out to open the rear door.
He walked up the pavement to their home. He unlocked the door with Draya standing a couple feet behind him.
She closed the door, then nervously followed him up the staircase.
She stepped into her room, placing her bag down by her desk. She took off her blazer, hanging it in her closet.
As she turned, she caught herself looking in the mirror, staring at the bruises and scars that covered her skin. She stood there, wondering what life would've been like if she still had her parents. Or even her grandparents.
"Draya." Her uncle's stern voice called. She immediately emerged from her closet, stepping back into her bedroom. "Who was that boy?"
"I don't know him." She answered which in reality was true. She didn't know August, she only knew his name.
"Lie again."
"I'm being honest, I don't know him."
"Strip." He demanded, unfazed by her statement.
Hesitantly, Draya removed her tank top and pants. Standing before her sick guardian in nothing but her bra and underwear, Draya became self-conscious. It wasn't the first time she was naked in front of him, but the appearance of her skin was slowly breaking her.
"Everything." He snapped.
Draya obeyed his orders, now standing completely naked. He approached her as if he were a predator stalking his prey. She remained calm because this was normal for her.
Torian trailed a finger over her cheek. Trembling at his touch, she involuntarily moved. Her actions only pissed him off and caused him to respond by grabbing her neck. She struggled to breathe as she turned red in the face. He let her go before she could fall unconscious and started delivering blows to her torso.
One thing he was "smart" about, was not hitting her in the face. It bruises all too easily, and seeing how he is her only legal guardian with no wife or children, it would raise suspicion.
Draya cried out in pain as he kept punching, kept kicking, and kept destroying her. His acts of violence were brought to a halt as the doorbell rang throughout the large house.
"Stay your ass in here and don't move." He spoke through gritted teeth.
She used the little strength in her to crawl to her bed. She reached up to grab a pillow and dropped her head into it. Her cries being muffled by the plush item. Draya was in such agonizing pain that she didn't even notice Torian's reappearance.
"I said, DON'T FUCKING MOVE!" She jumped at his loud voice. He entangled his fist in her hair and pulled her up. "When I say don't do something, YOU DON"T DO IT!" He yelled in her face. No matter how many times this occurs, Draya is still terrified. He threw her back onto her bed as he undressed himself. "Maybe next time you'll listen."

August.
It could just be me, but something ain't right about the way Draya was acting around dude. He had her intimidated and shit, Stuttering and going on.
I'ma sit back and sip on something that ain't tea. It's jus' somethin' about her and the way she tensed up when she ran into bro that I can't shake.
"Aye, nigga." Rod tapped me.
"Wuzzam?" He held his hands up in surrender.
"Ya ass starin' off and shit. Bring it back, muhfucka." I sucked my teeth out of annoyance. He always got some shit to say.
"Na' ya got my attention, what?"
"You still hittin' 'dat one bitch?"
"What one bitch? It's a couple of 'dem broads, man." I chuckled. I kind of kno' which broad he talm 'bout though, but then again...
"The one wit' da good neck?" Sneak asked and I fell out.
"Y'all two funny ass niggas, mane." I kept laughing, and ion know if it's from the fact 'that these two niggas serious, or the fact that I smoked anotha' blunt to myself. "Nah , I ain't still hittin' ole girl. Her ass was too damn clingy."
They busted out laughin' and I was serious as fuck. Shawty was always up unda' me like we was fa'real ina relationship. Ion do 'dat shit no mo'. Her head game was A1, but everything else was average.
"Aight, so what about that otha' one?"
"Who!?" Sneak and I laughed.
"Meesha." Sneak fell out his chair dying, and I had to laugh at his silly ass.
"Dawg, she been long gone. Ha' ass tried ta' trap me wit' a baybeh 'dat was dark skinned and we both was bright as hell. Man, I let that ass go real quick."
"I know, I saw that ass on Maury." Rod started. "She was all like 'he ain't wanna come ona show 'cus he know he da' daddy'." He was pattin' his head like he had a weave in and had us holding' our stomachs. It hurt to laugh at his fool ass. "I was sittin' thea' like is she talm 'bout my nigga Aug?' Den it showed da baby and yo picture side by side, I was like naaaaah."
"Rod, you jus' plain ass stupid." Sneak was able to get out.
"Y'een 'een kno' it." We were back here cutting the fuck up. This teacher don't 'een teach us shit and hasn't taught us shit since he been here. He just take attendance and do Sudoku puzzles all hour.
The bell rang, dismissing all classes.
We trapped to our lockers, which held books that we weren't and probably would never use. They're just placeholders. We left 'da building, making our way to the truck.
"Whea' ole girl go?"
"She left second hour, rememba?"
"Oh, that's right. Who came ta get ha?" Rod asked.
"Some nigga. I was tryna talk to her ass and she ran into him. He asked who I was and she got ta stutterin' and shit like he scared ha'." Shit still wasn't sittin' right wit' me.
"I guess. From what I peeped, shawty don't fuck wit' too many. Any at that."
I honestly ain't eva seen shawty up close befa' today. I would always catch glimpses of her but nothin' further. She guarded, I can tell that much. I'a break down ha' lah' fortress she got up.
