Draya.

"Well gah'damn."

I pulled away, well as far as I could considering he had my bottom lip in his mouth.

August finally released my lip and pulled away. His hands were placed on either side of my head, keeping me boxed in. He looked at me as I looked at him. Both with lust filled eyes.

We broke eye contact with each other and looked at his friends, who had goofy smirks on their faces.

"Cockblocking asses." He mumbled. I smirked and shook my head.

The bell started ringing and I ducked under his arm, moving from in front of him. I bent over to grab my binder but instantly regretted it. Not only did he smack my ass, but my shirt rose up, revealing the plethora of bruises and scars. I didn't have to see my back to know that it was bruised up.

I grabbed the binder and stray papers that fell out of it and stood up to walk away, but August wasn't having it.

"Draya, getcho ass ova hea'." He pulled me back. "Da' fuck is goin' on witchu?"

"Don't worry about it."

"Don't worry 'bout it? Draya, you gettin' yo ass beat is somethin' serious."

"August."

"Draya." He mocked. "You gon' tell me wassup or?" He trailed off.

"Why do you even care?"

"Oh, I don't know. Maybe because 'dis ain't the first time I don' seen you bruised up. He shook his head. "Come take a ride witcha boy." He held his hand up to refuse my objection. "I ain't tryna hea' it. I'a be back ta get y'all afta school, let's go." He grabbed my hand and pulled me with him towards the back doors.

"August..." He just kept pulling me with him.  "Where are you taking me?"

"Jus' shut up and come on man, damn." He unlocked his truck and opened the passenger door for me. Then went around and got in himself. He started up the truck as I buckled my seatbelt. "What? You 'on trust me?" He asked as he pulled off.

"Honestly, no."

"So why you kiss me? You 'on trust me, but'chu trusted my lips." I didn't have shit to say. "Aw, okay." He chuckled as he shook his head.

"Where are we going?" I asked after a few moments of silence and he sighed.

"Draya, jus' ride. Ain't nobody gon' hurt chu."

"No more than they already have, right?" I mumbled as I looked out the window. I didn't think he heard me, but I guess he did.

"If I wanted to hurt you, I woulda did it already. I'm not out to get you, I barely kno' you."

"Yet you kissed me, too."

"I know and that's way outta my element." I sighed and sunk down in my seat. Why does he notice everything I do? "What? It meant somethin' to you?" I said nothing, I just looked out the window and he laughed.

"What's funny Augusta?" He sucked his teeth, causing a smirk to appear on my face.

"Okay Michele." My head snapped in his direction as he stopped at the light and looked at me with a devious smile on his face.

"How do you know my middle name?"

"Don't trip."

"August."

"You love callin' my name don't you?"

"I could say the same about you." I laughed. "Draya this, Draya that."
