Gandalf rushed out of the cave once Thorin called, “Someone’s coming!”

Just then a sled pulled by Rostibell rabbits appeared. It was Ratigast, the brown.

“Radigast, what on earth are you doing here?” Gandalf asked the meek brown wizard.

Radigast looked at Gandalf with a face of worry and spoke, “I was looking for you, Gandalf. Something’s wrong, something’s terribly wrong.”

Gandalf then spoke without hesitation, “Yes?”

Radigast paused and tries to think of the words that he was going to say. Then Radigast spoke, “Just a minute. Oh I had the lost and now I’ve lost. It’s right there on the tip of my tongue.” Radigast paused then he spoke again.“Oh it’s not the thought at all. It’s a stick insect.”

Gandalf pulled the stick insect off of Radigast’s tongue. Radigast then spoke to Gandalf, “I must speak to you alone. It is something important.”

Gandalf nodded and said, “Yes let’s speak alone.”

Gandalf and Radigast walked away from the Company and into the west part of the woods.

Radigast then spoke to Gandalf in a whisper voice, “The Greenwood is sick. Gandalf nothing grows anymore at least nothing good. The air is foul with decay but worst are the webs.”

Distinctly Gandalf says, “Webs? What do you mean?” Radigast then spoke again in a louder voice, “Spiders, Gandalf. Giant ones. Some kind of slider ungallant. I am not a wizard. I followed their trail. The came from Dul Guldor.”

Gandalf turned around and blows smoke slowly from his pipe and says, “Dul Guldor? The old fortress is abandoned.”

Radigast then spoke again but looked into space remembering the whole story of what happened, “No Gandalf it’s not. A dark power dwells in there. It is like a power I have never felt before.” Radigast then began to tell Gandalf of the time he was dwelling in Dul Guldor.

Radigast then spoke more of the incident, “It is the shadow of an ancient horror. One that can summon the spirits of the dead.” Radigast then had a flashback of the incident. The Witch King of Angmar’s spirit clutches the statues sword. Radigast turned around and saw the Witch King’s spirit. The King began to fight Radigast but the King lost and Radigast picked up his sword.

Radigast pops back into reality and then says to Gandalf at last, “I saw him Gandalf from out of the darkness. The Necromancer has come.” Radigast then tells of him running from the evil power of the Necromancer and till the time he came to find Gandalf.

Radigast fades out but comes back as he says, “Sorry.”

Gandalf then says to Radigast while wiping his pipe, “Try some Old Toby. It will help settle your nerves.” Radigast sucks in the smoke as Gandalf says a second after he does, “Let it out.” Radigast then lets out the smoke as Gandalf speaks once more, “Now, the Necromancer. Are you sure?”

Radigast smiles and pulls out the sword of the Witch King, “That is not from the world of the living.”
